Dr. Jessica Rausch-Medina, MD

Dr. Rausch’s calm, warm, insightful, and sometimes humorous observations and interactions have formed our bedrock in this area of our lives. I would highly recommend her to anyone who needs help settling into life, overcoming challenges, and pursuing happiness.

I went to Dr. Rausch for years and have never had a good experience. She was always extremely late (which is, sadly, the smallest issue) and doesn’t seem to really care about what the patient has to say. She constantly downplayed what I was saying as if it were nothing. She had given me a medication that I believe was too high of a dosage for me, and I told her about what had happened and that I didn’t want to be prescribed any more new medications for a while (because I had lost trust). She quickly brushed it off as if what had happened to me was nothing to worry about. Yes, I completely understand that everyone reacts differently to different medications, but I had never experienced such terrifying and serious side effects before. I tried switching doctors, but had no luck. She prescribed me another medication months later (that I had expressed very clearly to her that I felt very uncomfortable taking it), but my family had forced me to take it despite my numerous refusals. I had to… go to the ER because of this medication. The doctors there ordered me to stop the medication immediately due to the traumatizing and serious side effects that I was enduring, along with the fact that I had only been taking it for a very short amount of time. Luckily, I was able to find a new doctor. I don’t know if I will ever feel safe again when taking a new medication because of the two incidents that occurred when I was being treated by her. Maybe it was just my classic bad luck or a crazy coincidence that two of the medications she had prescribed just months apart both made me feel as if my life was in danger. Based off of my personal experiences, I wouldn’t recommend Dr. Rausch to anyone.

I am a young woman has gone through many things in life as everyone had but i needed advise from a professional, so i look for quite some time and found great reviews for this particular "Doctor". Let me tell you from experience DO NOT BELIEVE EVERYTHING YOU READ! So i finally set my appt for about a month out and at that point i have taken off work for that day and had everything set up accordingly for my appt. When i got a call one day before my appy from the Doctor her self stating i missed my scheduled appt which specifically remembered it was the next day, i began to apologize numerous times. She had no sympathy at all! All she could say was " well i dont know who is more sorry because i had patients who needed this appt time" i also work in a medical office where patients and the staff make simple mistakes but you are never suppose to make the patient feel so belittled or uncomfortable because of a simple mistake no matter who made it! After a brief conversation the last thing… she said to me was that she would not be seeing me! How ridiculous is that!? Knowing i did not make the mistake i simply hung up very upset knowing i would never be seeing such a rude person. Being a Psychiatrist she should of came across more gentle and kind being she had no idea how severe my case was and what i was going Through. I just hope this doesnt happen to anyone else so if you have or need to make an appt make sure you triple check the date and time or you might just get the same rude phone i did!

I have been seeing Dr. Rausch-Medina for some thirteen years. She has gotten me through some difficult times and possibly saved my life during one particularly serious episode. The doctor truly cares about her patients and is accessible after office hours.She is excellent in determing the best medications for each individual and alsoin getting to the heart of the problemthrough conversation. I would recommendDr. Rausch-Medina to anyone.
