How we could have missed Flagstaff as college students, I don’t know! Maybe, it was a lack of funds or busy schedules. What a well kept secret. Dr. Kirk and I met in high school and came to know Arizona as students at Arizona State University. We loved Tempe and made great friends while Kirk played football at ASU. Although, we had a great disappointment when the Sun Devils lost to Ohio State we realized what a great experience it was for Dr. Kirk to be so close to winning the National Championship along with his fellow teammates.
We received our dental degrees at Oregon Health Sciences University (OHSU) and returned to Southern California to attend the pediatric dental residency program at the University of California, Los Angeles. After enjoying the Northwest, with the pedestrian friendly walks, urban trails, and cooler climate we soon found Flagstaff. It was our match. We love the …outdoors, being so close to lakes, rivers and a community with sustainability in mind.
We love the small town feeling of Flagstaff and are so grateful to raise our two children in such a wonderful community.  Because of this, we feel it is important to be a part of and give back to our community.  We are actively involved with the Coconino Health Department through Give Kids a Smile and the Flagstaff Medical Center Breastfeeding Center.
