Dr. Jessica Brannon Russell, MD

First appointment. Strictly business without compassion. Was not open to questions noting everything should be included in the package she provides - the atmosphere in the room felt almost cold and she felt like someone you might be seeing for an abortion. would not want to see her ever again as a patient!!

Run! What she did to me she has done to many mothers. She is incompetent and dangerous. Vacuum delivery when she should have done a cesarean, 4th degree tear, extreme blood loss, post partum psychosis. And I’m not the only one she’s done this to. Sadly. Just Run. See Dr. Penn, but do not see Dr. Russel.

She performed my csection and did a fantastic job. She ensured I was comfortable throughout and I barely felt tugging or pulling (this was my second and my first I was in pain and felt an enormous amount of pulling and tugging). My recovery has been flawless and my incision looks wonderful.

Dr Russel is compassionate, relate-able, and reliable. She delivered both of my babies via C Section (after over 30 hours of trying to go natural), and respected my birth plan. Even more importantly, she expressed concern for my health post- baby.

My first experience with Dr. Russell and Chesapeake Women's Care was during a miscarriage. While I was not fond of my experience with another physician at the practice and it was a stressful time for me, Dr. Russell quickly began gaining my confidence. When I returned to her pregnant a few months later, she continued to display understanding, care, and knowledge. Fortunately, I was able to have Dr. Russell during my delivery. My son's birth came with some challenges, but Dr. Russell was truly amazing and it was clear throughout my son's birth that his health and mine were of utmost importance to her.

I am grateful to Dr. Russell for seeing me so quickly when I was having a problem. She was kind, very caring and explained everything in detail. Her follow up call came on a Sunday afternoon and I could tell she really cared when she called. Although she has referred me to a specialist, I feel she has put my health first and I am grateful. Thank you Dr. Russell

Horrible bedside manner. No compassion at all.

I have been through quite a lot with Dr Russell and she has been great. If it weren't for her, i would have had an emergency c section, no doubt. I cannot thank her enough.
