Jessica is a problem-solver by nature and a life-long learner. She loves being with people and believes that this career blends those things together very well. Jessica feels that her husband, mother and faith influence her life and how she practices medicine. Her mother taught her to believe that she could do anything. She encouraged Jessica's love for science and showed her how to love people well. Jessica's husband supports her in everything that she does and is one of the most patient, caring individuals that she knows. Both her mother and husband encouraged her to pursue this career and supported her through her schooling. In addition, her faith in Jesus encourages her to be kind, loving, patient and to always put others first which is vital in healthcare. Her favorite part of her job is helping to make someone's day better. She enjoys working toward a goal of improving the lives of others. Jessica has a special interest in COPD and sleep apnea. In her spare time, she volunteers …as a preschool/nursery teacher at her church and leads a bible study. She also enjoys spending time playing with her three children and husband, running and training for half marathons and reading.One of my favorite parts of my job is meeting new people every day. I love educating and working as a team with my patients to help them understand their problem and come up with a treatment plan. It's important to build trust so they know that my goal is to offer them the best care possible based on my knowledge and training as well as their comfort level. It's so vital that they believe I am here for them and their well-being as a whole person.
