Dr. Jessica Lane Valletta, MD

Reviews says she cares, but this seems far from the truth. First, she looks at computer and types most of the visit- this is very Impersonal, not to mention when I have read her notes in the Electronic Medical Records I have found most of them to be falsified in some way. She has entered info that was never done and has summarized her oh so great listening(NOT) info into how she thinks how I feel, instead of HEARING what I have said. There was never any hand washing noted within the practice… so much for COVID or Flu.She does NOT accept Afterhours phone calls; and in an emergency she will not change treatment for a few days- I had fallen and had great difficulty walking for wks and would NOT help! She does not perform all pain treatments other doctors do, like joint injections. She does NOT do simple procedures on your visit, you must reschedule … more MONEY. Her office sent DRUG SCREENING to a non par lab costing me $400.. Now all Pain Practices have a Pain /Opiod Contract, and… I have NEVER had any problems with this. However, her office DISCHARED/ FIRED me for rescheduling visits, and did not care why. They called the “numerous missed visit”, which is NOT TRUE! I rescheduled every visit I missed due to circumstances out of my control. I rescheduled a visit for illness, one visit was moved from a Video Visit to an office visit by them without any notification to me, and lastly one visit was due to COVID. They don’t care—- SCARY STUFF! Ultimately I was Snubbed and Ignored; and most importantly made to feel like a criminal. I like all others in Pain Management live with Chronic Pain. I require assistance to home even on a good day. She knew this. If you as a Doctor know that a patient you are taking on has medical issues/circumstances that my breach the PAIN CONTRACT (which has room for Interpretation in most cases), why not be upfront and say that whatever the reason it may be a problem. I was abandon 3 days before my appt, WITHOUT a written letter or verbal notification. I found out only when I checked my Electronic Record for an appt time. Is this how you care for your patients after taking an Oath?! Her and the office Snubbed and Ignored me; and then made me feel like a Criminal! For what, a few rescheduled visits…Pitiful! I practiced as an RN for 30Yrs, and I would Never ever treat anyone/ yet alone a patient like this! So Sad and Disappointing!

Dr Valletta has always been very nice and very patient with me. I have been with her for probably 5 years. I followed her from West Penn to Monroeville. Going to a pain clinic requires following a few rules. If you don’t, you are out. There is an opioid crisis out there people. Dr Valletta has always treated me fairly and with respect. I do get the recommended procedures. They help and she takes note of all medications that I take and their interactions with what she prescribed. The office staff is pretty lean and she is well aware of it. That is something AHN needs to address. I have found using my chart to send a message is the best way to go.

She will make you jump through hoops and exhaust all of your copay and insurance benefits but won’t offer real treatment for pain, arthritis or degeneration. When there’s no hope she still wants you to try ridiculous homeopathic treatments that only would treat delusional people anyway

My dog gets better treatment from the veterinarian. Does not listen to nor care about your physical complaints. Office staff is rude. I felt like an indigent.

My experience with Jessica Valletta was the first time in my life that I heard a doctor tell me, "there's nothing we can do for you." I left the appointment in tears. This person has not an ounce of compassion in her heart, and certainly no concern for her patients. She should be working in a lab somewhere, not interfacing with patients in debilitating pain. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

Most of the staff are excellent some are very rude. I had to give a urine specimen. One of the nurses said the faster you give it the faster you will be out of here. I have a shy bladder it just about impossible for me to give urine sample on demand. As result I was unable to give a urine specimen. I have to navigate with sharp pain everyday. Dr Valletta is a excellent doctor. J Hornstein

Ordered x Ray's to determine souce of pain and had a concrete plan to lessen it so I could function. Pain Management is complex and the physician, patient, physical therapist, pharmacist etc must work together as a team. Patients in true pain will like her as a physician.

Don't waste your time. Arrogant and condescending appointment was a total waste of time, no diagnosis, no recommendations, no referrals, nothing. I don't understand how she can stay a Dr. with the great quality of physicians at AHN. I should have read the reviews before the appointment, live and learn. Would not recommend her to anyone.

Really personable. She talks to u not atu. Answers all questions fully. Doesnt rush u. Highly recamend
