Dr. Jesus Castillo

My daughter had an accident and was charged with the accident. After placing a rod in her femur, Dr. Castillo nor his staff ever ordered any physical therapy for my daughter, I suppose because she was charged with the accident? She is currently in jail and received no follow up care because Dr. Castillo nor his PA ordered the physical therapy for my daughter to learn to walk properly again. I consider this a deliberate indifference being that my daughter was treated differently because she was charged with a crime. My daughter was given pain medications yet was unable to take them because she was incarcerated. I called the office trying to get them to order some type of OTC pain relief and they said they had no control over it. Well the truth is if an inmate has a written order sent stating they should be allowed to take a Tylenol or Ibuprofen then the BOP has to accommodate the medications. The Bureau of Prisons also has to accommodate travel to and from physical therapy when it is… ordered for the benefit of the patient whether they are charged with a crime or not. I think Dr. Castillo, his PA and his office should all be ashamed of making such a difference when dealing with a situation like this. My daughter could not even stand to get to the toilet when she was released from AnMed Health and Dr. Castillo's care. Shame on you all. She was thrown in a concrete cell left isolated to urinate on herself with multiple open wounds and had just underwent major surgery. Dr. Castillo and his staff could have ordered PT, OTC meds and made sure that she was able to stand on her own before releasing her to ACDC and the BOP. My daughter still to this day walks with a severe deformity from this deliberant indifference.

Takes the time to listen to what you have to say. He uses pictures, models and even tries to draw on a dry erase board to try and explain what the problem is.

Dr. Castillo was absolutely wonderful with my 15 year old son! He went above and beyond to ensure his procedure went well and follow up was exceptional. He actually visited him in the athletic weight room to ensure his wound was healing as it should. You rarely find Doctors willing to go the extra mile, showing such compassion in this day. I canâ??t say enough about how wonderful he was. I have and will continue to recommend Dr. Castillo to all that I know.

It started with the staff, they were all very welcoming, personal, and helpful. Dr Castillo himself immediately made my son fell very comfortable. He was very personable and spoke with my son as if he were a friend and not a doctor. My sons broken arm needed a cast with a small push to his arm. Dr Castillo talked with my son the entire time every step of the way and kept him calm. His assistant Janna was also very helpful and friendly. The entire experience was so much better than I would have expected for my son with a broken arm.
