Dr. Jesus I Martinez, MD

Jesus Martinez, MD, holds an undergraduate degree from the University of the Philippines College of Arts and Sciences and a medical degree from the University of the Philippines College of Medicine. He is certified by the American Board of Pathology in anatomic and clinical pathology. He completed his residency at the Michael Reese Medical Center for Anatomic and Clinical Pathology in Chicago. Anatomic pathology is a medical specialty that involves the examination of human tissues, blood and body fluids taken during surgery, medical examination or autopsy in order to render diagnoses that help physicians understand the disease processes involved, and to determine definitive treatment for their patients. Clinical pathology is a medical specialty mainly involving general medical supervision of a hospital or clinic laboratory and/or blood bank to endure quality and accuracy of the laboratory test performed, and to ensure the quality and safety of blood used in transfusions.
