Born and raised in the heart of the Rogue Valley in Central Point, Oregon, Dr. Jethro H. McFarland grew up immersed in the outdoors—rafting the wild Rogue River, skiing fresh powder on Mt. Ashland in winter, biking its trails in summer, and exploring every backroad from John’s Peak on a dirt bike to hidden fishing holes and forest hikes. Nature wasn’t just a backdrop—it was his playground, classroom, and the rhythm of his childhood.

In his early twenties, while hiking in Utah’s Wasatch Range, he paused on a sun-warmed rock after crossing several long snowfields and gazed out over the Salt Lake Valley, watching the roads and highways pulse with movement—each car like a cell, flowing through the city like blood through a living body. It was there, in that moment of stillness and reflection, that he felt a clear calling: to help people from all walks of life reach their fullest potential—mind, body, and spirit. Though it would be years before he officially entered chiropractic school, …that moment sparked a journey that eventually led him to earn his doctorate in chiropractic and a Master’s in Human Nutrition and Functional Medicine.
