Jia Li, MD, PhD

My family had a very disappointing experience with Sloan and Jia Li, Gastrointestinal Medical Oncologist. My mother has stage 4 pancreatic cancer, after numerous phone calls to Sloan they finally booked us with Doctor Jia Li. We waited an hour and 45 minutes to be seen which was okay, we understood they were busy. However Doctor Jia Li met with us for about 10 minutes, she was extremely cold telling my mother and family that there was nothing she or Sloan could do for her emphasizing that my mother was stage 4 and it was “bad”. She had no empathy or bed side manners, she gave us no advice or helpful information and she left us with no hope. We ended up working with Northwell Health with Doctor Daniel Alexander King, our experience with Northwell and Doctor King has been incredible, his team has been so positive, kind and on top of everything every step of the way. My mom is 7 months into treatment with Northwell, her cancer has shrunk 40% and she is doing well. Writing this to let… people know don’t just go to Sloan.
