Dr. Jian-Cheng Shen, MD

Jian Shen received her M.D. and M.S. in Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine from the Chongqing Medical University, Chongqing, China, where she also served as a Resident in Internal Medicine. She was then a Research Fellowship at the Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School, and subsequently completed her Ph.D. in Immunology at the Boston University School of Medicine. She continued her training as a Resident in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at Brigham and Women's Hospital, Harvard Medical School, and completed a Cytopathology Fellowship at Brigham and Women's Hospital. She is Board Certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology as well as Cytopathology. Dr. Shen served on the staff at Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School prior to joining Providence in 2010.
