I crumbled my knee cap and did damage to the Tibia. Dr. Satpathy was the only doctor who felt he could fix my leg and knee. The hospital staff and his office staff were always checking in on me. I live in Erie , Pa. It was my son in Virginia who found Dr. Satpathy. I felt very confident that he could fix my leg and knee and he did. It has been a long journey for me and I am grateful to Dr. Satpathy and his staff and VCU Hospital and the Outpatient Clinic for everything.

Dr. Satpathy has operated on me three times. He has replaced a hip, a knee, and performed some revision surgery on my replaced knee. I completely trust his judgement; appreciate his willingness to listen and get to know me; and respect his professional, yet caring, manner. He is top notch in my opinion, and I highly recommend him.

My surgical experience was very positive. Dr. Satpathy listened and heard my concerns. His staff was on point in returning calls and finding answers, as well as following up on my home care progress. Overall, everyone that I came in contact with was very professional.

My experience with this surgeon and his office has been one disappointment after another. I have been trying have surgery for the past 4 months. Each time he has canceled and rescheduled the surgery two days prior to the surgery date. It has been very frustrating because each time the surgery was canceled, I had to redo all the paperwork and pre-op appointments. Not to mention disrupting the lives of the people who made plans or rearranged their own appointments/work schedules to assist me. It has caused alot of emotional distress for me along with the physical pain that I'm already in.

Dr. Satpathy and his staff are top notch. After two hip surgeries over the past 7 months I am well on my way to recovery thanks to Dr. Satpathy. I have found my Ortho surgeon for life.
