About J. George Jiha, MD When I was in high school, I was involved in a Christian youth organization that brought food and clothing to the poor. It was then I learned how helping people in need contributed to my own sense of self-worth. Upon graduation, I knew I wanted a career where I could have the satisfaction of being able to help people every day, so I decided I wanted to become a doctor.After eight years of practicing medicine in Chicago, I moved to Baton Rouge to be near my family. I have now been practicing medicine for almost two decades, and I am double board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology and fellowship trained, as well.In order to stay on top of the latest developments in interventional pain medicine, I complete many hours of continuing education each year and maintain membership in several prominent organizations.Additionally, I am an attentive listener who is receptive to my patients’ needs.
