Dr. Jill Beck

"Dr" Jill Beck botched two surgeries on my child, gave her nightmares of being cut up by doctors, lied multiple times about diagnostics without any recent imaging for proof, gave contradictory medical advice between pre- and post-op, refused to communicate/return calls about why these surgeries failed, tried to blame others for her repetitive failures, caused years of medical trauma to my daughter and myself, then wasted thousands of dollars of our money for her greedy, sloppy malpractice. Obviously, the Hippocratic Oath is beyond meaningless to her. I'll never understand how she even got a medical license in the first place, but she definitely shouldn't be using it on children (or anyone).

We were referred to Dr. Beck by Texas Children's Hospital due to the fact that my 5 yrs old daughter seem to have trouble breathing while eating/swallowing food and snoring loudly while sleeping. We arived at her office as scheduled. Was placed in room where we waited 45 min before she came in. She came in looked my daughter all but 5 minutes and said she couldn't do anything until she was snoring louder. Smh. We got a second opinion and it turns out our daughter has tonuge tie and enlarged tonsils. Thank God for second opinions.

dMy child has permanent damage to his ear because of her error. Does not listen to parents or nursing staff. A teenager died under Dr. Beck's care in surgery.

Dr. Jill Beck is a very good pediatric ENT. She has treated three of my children and two of these three has undergone surgical procedures by Dr. Beck. Dr. Beck actually cared enough to meet me in pre-op waiting area and personally cradle my baby in her arms to the pre-op. She came out and visited with me right after surgery and made several follow up calls and even giving her personal cell number if I needed to call her night or day. My daughter was invited to a party at Dr. Beck's for children with cochlear implants. Dr. Beck is highly skilled, intelligent, sensitive to her patients and parents and attractive and kind. What more do you want in a physician? Awesome is my rating of Dr. Jill Beck.

Dr. Beck did two Cochlear Implant surgeries on me in 2012. Both surgeries were outstanding successes. There were no issues associated with pre-surgery consultations. She spent time with my family while I was in recovery. She is busy since she is the best, so you may have to wait a bit or get bumped by emergencies.

It took us 5 months to get in to see Dr. Beck. She came in for 2 min when we did see her and we were rushed away for tesing. Then she came back in and said our daughter needed to have 5 surgical procedures in one sitting. The nurse came back in and did not even know the name of one of the procedures. They got the surgery scheduled quickly. One of her nurses was skilled and helpful. I cannot comment on what happened during surgery or even after, but I will say we ended up in ICU and a 6 day hospital stay. Please Idaho, be careful. Use your best judgement and your gut instinct. I wish we did. Make sure you get a second opinion.

Dr. Beck is the best. She did two different cochlear implant surgeries on my son (then 2 years old). Both times, she was there at the hospital the next morning by 7 am to check on my son. She gave us her home phone number in case we had any problems over the weekend. Need I say more? She invited all local families of children with or who were candidates for cochlear implants to a summer bbq at her home. We have since moved to another state but I always have fond memories of Dr. Beck.

Dr Beck is amazing. She is very difficult to get into because she is the best. She took great depths in spending time with my child and making her feel comfortable. Possibly the other parent who commented was a bit off kilter becuasee Dr Beck personally gave me a phone number to call if I had any questions and returned my call promptly. If you have to call 5 times??? Maybe your question was stupid.

We took our son to Doctor Beck from a referral from our docoter for a thrioglossial cyst duct. Scheduling an appointment took forever and she could not get us in for over a month. The appointment she was very friendly and seem to take extra time to make sure we feel comfortable with her and explained things well. After she did the surgery she told us she was confident it went well that it wasn't infected and she remove all of the cyst. We schedule the post post and when we got to the appointment we had to await over 2 hours before she could see us. My son is 3 years old and we show up for the appointment 30 minutes early that is a long time to have to wait in a awaiting room. When we finally got in to see her she ran in looked at his neck and said we just got the culture results back on the cyst and it was inflected. She couldn't remeber if she had put him on anything for it so we had to tell her she had for a percausion. So she just uped the dose and sent us on the way. She saw us… over maybe 2 minutes and left. She never explain that the was a 30% chance that the cyst could come back. She actual told the day of the surgery it was a typical cyst removal and she was very sure she got it all and that it was done. She was so sure she didn't even put in a drain. Her nurse told us that the larger dose would make the infection go away. It did not. We called docotor Beck becuase it wasn't going down and she would not return our calls. We called her at least 5 times with out a return call. We took him to a different doctor because she would talk to us. The new dotor had a very simlar problem getting ahold of Doctor Beck. When she finally did call the doctor back she was not honest about what she had told us. I would not suggest that anyone take their child to see her. She will make you feel great the first time you see her but after that is will be to busy for you.
