Dr. Jill Theresa Honkamp, MD

If you want answers like "because that's what they told us in med school" and "i'd havd to do some research," instead of a medical explanation or advice from someone who's research is current and ongoing, then this rude and uninformed woman is just right.

Dr. Honkamp is absolutely amazing. From my first appointment with her, her expertise, her bedside manner, and her trustworthiness was and remains incredible. Dr. Honkamp is extremely kind, and I feel like she truly cares about me as her patient. She has such positive energy, and is always smiling! There is no one else I would trust more than Dr. Honkamp!

38 weeks pregnant with concerns of intolerable abdominal pain, nausea, and headache. Called to see what actions needed to be taken and had to speak with Honkamp. I found her to be incredibly short over the phone and even though she instructed me to go in, I felt like an idiot doing so because of he way she spoke to me. While in the hospital I had to talk with her on the phone until eventually I refused because she was so rude. I’ve never experienced such disrespect from a doctor. I will NEVER forget what a horrible experience I had with her.

She delivered my son safely after a frightening, high-risk pregnancy, and was a wonderful support system throughout the pregnancy.

Went in with a Bartholin cyst. Had a doctor in the past that performed the procedure in 2013, but has since retired. Dr. Honkamp was the only doctor available to perform the procedure of inserting word catheter. After spending 45 minutes in the waiting room in agonizing pain, my husband finally went up to the secretary to inquire how much longer it would be because I was in pain. Once getting in there, bedside manner was horrible. She was going to a delivery following my appointment, which was understandable, but she belittled my past experience of having it done, cut me off mid-sentence multiple times, and gave no aftercare instructions. She ran off before even prescribing pain meds. She told another doctor to do it, which caused a problem with the pharmacy because it was Vicodin. She also prescribed no antibiotic. I ended up calling an on-call doctor to inquire about this and after-care instructions. The on-call doctor seemed far more concerned about my well being than Dr. Honkamp.… My previous doctor that did the procedure projected about 7 to 10 days of healing and off of work. She initially told me 1 day for recovery, which was ridiculous. It took 3 to even stand. No one has ever recovered from a Bartholin procedure after one day that I have talked to, including my mother.

Found her rude and condescending as our on call delivery doctor. Pushed pitocin to the point of telling us there was zero risk to the baby with using it. Doesn't do delayed cord clamping or care much about a birth plan for that matter. Manipulative and almost shaming in the way she told me my body didn't know what it was doing.

My questions were ignored or glossed over. She was disrespectful the majority of the time. By the end, I had no trust in her.
