Dr. Jill Helaine Maddox, MD

This psychiatrist called the police to my home and had me involuntarily committed...and then I never heard from her again. After attempting to medicate me this psychiatrist actually sent the police to my house even-though I have no history of self harm, or harm to others. It is an extreme abuse of power to call armed police to the house of a client, putting them at risk of jail, or even death. Not only does this doctor have bad politics surrounding policing her clients, she also prefers to call the police and then drop all responsibility. After having me involuntarily hospitalized she renounced her role as my doctor and the hospital would not discharge me because I was not under the outpatient care of a doctor. She refused to answer my partner's calls and I had to stay in the hospital a full week while my partner located another viable doctor. These paranoid, prejudiced, fearful tactics were never explained to me at the start of treatment.

Dr. Maddox is insightful, compassionate and helpul. She has helped me through crisis by helping me retain the best qualities I have while addressing the problems in my life.
