Dr. Jill C Mctaggart, MD

I waited like what seemed forever in the exam room. She has no bedside manner. I wanted to hear about different contraceptives but she had very strong preferences that didn't fit my needs. Maybe she has stock in the one she insisted upon. I won't go back.

I arrived for my appointment today and unfortunately wasn’t even able to be seen. I did not catch her name but the front desk last was absolutely less than caring. I presented her with my ID and insurance card. To which she basically shut me down... she didn’t say it but ultimately came across that I will not be being seen. She told me I would need to check into my in-network providers and verify if they are one. I told her I have not done so (she is listed on the CHI website so I am not sure why her receptionist would question being in network with a CHI exclusive plan). She handed me back my cards and said I need to have that looked into or I would be looking at out of network costs (which I knew). This is kind of an emergency appointment as my primary OBGYN is out due to medical reasons, so I told her no worries, I can self pay for this one time appointment. To which she than said “I’m not sure about that”, she couldn’t even give me a ball park estimate as I am standing in the… office, credit card in hand ready to pay out of pocket for the entire visit. All she kept saying is that I need to call and check on my insurance. After about a minute of trying to figure out what I have to do to be seen at the appointment time (I scheduled two weeks prior), she than says, “well she is now out and we cannot see you at all”. I was highly displeased with her staff and unfortunately will not recommend her to anyone due to their unwillingness to work around people’s circumstances

I really liked the Dr. the one time I saw her. Then she sent me to a medical imaging place to make sure things were going alright. Never called me back. I figured no news was good, and decided to call her back after a few weeks. But I ended up miscarrying before calling (I don't blame the lack of a phone call for that. These things happen). So I made an appointment to be checked out a couple of days later. I rushed there with my husband and forgot my book, which was stupid because we had to sit there for 40 minutes. And since I forgot my book, but wannabe Anne Geddes photos of babys and happy pregnant ladies was what I got to look at. For 40 minutes. Two days after my miscarriage. And it turned out the appointment was only a blood draw. I didn't know what to expect, but it wasn't a mere blood draw. I didn't want to do that again. So I opted to have future blood draws done at the hospital lab they use. I went on the day the Dr. office told me to and the lab did not… expect me. I had to wait for them to call the Dr. office, which was still less waiting than I did with the Anne Geddes wannabe vomit. Then I went to that lab the next week and again they did not expect me. It was too late that day to call the office.

As an female who has seen various docotors throughout her adult life, this experience has been the most dissapointing. For my yearly, I felt rushed through the process (spent less than 30 minutes). Took nurse two weeks to call me back for IUD approval and even though my insurance covers 100% for contraception, her office requires full payment upfront before they order. Now that I switched doctors they ask for payment of ($25.00) before releasing medical records. I understand costs are high, but to treat patients as just money coming in and not as patients, is very dissapointing.

Dr. McTaggart is truly the best OBGyn in Omaha. I trust her completely. She is so so caring.

Horrible doctor and nursing staff

I wish I had one nice thing to say here. Waited in the room for over 30 minutes and when she did arrive I felt like I was the last thing she was thinking about. I went to her because I had fertility problems and recently gained 30lbs. in 3 months. She brushed all of that off telling me that 'sometimes you just get fat.' Did not check hormone levels and failed to run a single test. I left feeling more frustrated then before. I later called to talk to a nurse and they accused me of binge eating. Am in the process of finding a doctor that will listen.

I have been a patient for many years and I think Dr. McTaggart is a caring, compassionate, competent and well informed doctor who puts her patients first. Her staff has changed over the past two years, but her current staff is very professional. They are always kind and courteous to me, whether I call or come in. I always feel like I am getting the best care possible.

I honestly thought she was a great doctor at first. I was young and enjoyed that fact that your visits were very short. I have been going to her for 5 yrs, but recently I have had one bad experience after another with her whole office. Her nurses are rude and make you feel like you are wasting their time by calling. They did not take the time to explain some test results to me. Dr. Jill McTaggart did not write down that she gave me a new prescription and when I was having problems the nurses were extremely rude to me. I would not recommend going to her.
