About Me and Why I became a Physician
I was raised in the Bay Area and have been a Kaiser Permanente member since age 5. Initially, my career goal was to be a marine biologist. While I loved the ocean, I quickly learned that to be happy I needed to interact more with people. So, I decided to become a doctor and use my love of science and exploring to help humans, not fish.
I decided ultimately to become a radiologist. Radiology to me is like a treasure hunt. We find clues in images that help us discover what is really going on inside patients. When you find the answer and know you helped a patient, the reward is great.
My Practice Philosophy
While physicians have always tried to treat diseases once they occur, today we are able to prevent disease from starting or developing in the first place. I am quite involved with breast imaging and intervention, and find it very rewarding to reach out to and help other women. I know that with screening, we are finding and curing disease in the …earliest stages.
What I Like About Working for Kaiser Permanente
I really enjoy working in an organization where everyone's goals are the same: to do whatever is best for the patient.
Interests and Hobbies
I enjoy jogging, hiking at Mt. Diablo with my family, exploring tide pools at the beach, and traveling.

Ensuring Data Transparency and Trust: A Guide to Vitals Doctor Listings and Reviews
Our provider data is gathered directly from physicians and publicly available databases. Providers who verify their profiles gain the ability to update information, offering additional details about their specialties, education, treated conditions, performed procedures, and accepted insurances.
Reviews on Vitals are submitted by users only. Recognizing the valuable insights these reviews offer into a doctor's reputation, we maintain internal policies and protocols to ensure the quality and accuracy of all reviews. Importantly, providers cannot delete or alter reviews independently. Reviews can only be deleted or changed following an internal assessment by our customer service team.
Your feedback is highly valued and we encourage you to contact our support team should you encounter any issues.
