Dr. Jill Ellen Thompson, MD

I’m a new patient under the care of Dr Thompson (Dr T) & have been thoroughly pleased with the care/concern she’s given me so far. She may be small in stature but she’s a real firecracker!! Clearly passionate about what she does, Dr T takes time to listen to your questions/concerns, exhibits a very empathetic bed-side manner, & truly cares about your health & well-being. The Gastonia office staff is top-notch, as well. They always make you feel as comfortable as possible & you leave the office feeling as if you’ve known everyone for years!! So thankful God allowed my path to cross with this group of awesome professionals!! ????

Dr. Jill Thompson is a caring doctor and I do not say that lightly. She knows her stuff and I expect that from any doctor. However, I am sad to say, that I also expect to be treated like a number by most doctors. NOT SO with Dr. Thompson! She treats me with compassion and respect. She really listens to me, treats me as an individual, and never acts like she has all the answers. She does, however, offer suggestions on things we can try to help with my pain. She is always honest with me and never makes promises that cannot be kept. These and many other factors make her very high in my book in the important areas of integrity, ethics, and trust. I trust her completely! She not only takes time with me when I see her in her office, but she follows up with me personally by phone when needed. What doctors do that these days? Not many, but Dr. Thompson is one of them. That is why she is my doctor of choice to help me deal with my chronic back pain. I have great confidence in her and would… highly recommend her to anyone dealing with chronic pain. She is a STAR!!

Dr Thompson will actually set down with you,listen, even get teary eyed with you if necessary. She makes me laugh when i feel the worst. When you are sick or hurting you do not want to have to wait at all,however, there are instances when you must because of circumstances beyond anyone's controll. If you do,Her staff, will make you feel right at home and try to make you feel as comfortable as you can be while in a waiting area of any heathcare business. Dr Thompson is very understanding and will find the source of your problem and help you make a plan of action to remedy it. She doesnt assume anything. She asks questions,gives a physical exam of the whole you. Let me say it again,"She will take care of the whole you." I have cried, laughed,complained, and not once did she belittle me or my feelings or beliefs. I truly feel like the "whole me" is well taken care of. I cant say that for all physicians. I 've had a few where i've spent hours in their waiting room,then get called back,… wait some more, the doc comes in and asks what is the problem then listens with the stethoscope,thinks your pain is in your head and or thinks you are wanting major drugs,(aassumes you are a drug abuser wanting pills) or, spends less than ten minutes talking to you, then sends you on your way superfast, made you feel like an inch tall,treated you badly,then you get a bill for 3-5 hundred dollars in the mail. Not so fun! Dr Thompson is the best. she does not do this. You are treated with respect,and she and her staff will do everything possible to make you as comfortable as they can.The cost of an office visit will not "break your bank". They are very reasonable given how well you are treated there at her practie. I have on occasion spent over an hour just talking with her, one on one. Who does that anymore? I swear if you need a neuro anything, well you need this Doctor. She is truly a "STAR" among Physicians and in the Healthcare world!I trust her 100 percent and I am glad to have her as my physician. Her secretaries out front are pretty good too! A rating of four stars isn't high enough a ranking for Dr Thompson and Her practice, (yeah you too fellas)! STARZ!***************************************

GREAT DOCTOR! In everyway!

Dr. Thompson was the first doctor that spent whatever time it took to answer all of my questions. This is however the reason why her waiting room can get a bit backed up sometimes. For this reason I don't mind waiting because I know that she is caring enough to take time with her patients. I am very thankful to have been referred to Dr. Jill Thompson.

The staff didnt return phone calls. My appt was at 1 I would maybe be seen by 1:40 I guess she had to eat her lunch...
