Dr. Jillian F Paprota, DO

Ok for BP meds and the usual meds we take, antibiotics and check ups, needs more rapport with patients, has nurse call you back, very seldom she calls. Continuous follow ups not necessary, made money for the hospital. No refills on common meds such as BP meds, meds you take every day that do not need adjustments with dosage. Not enough time given to really know the patient. Gone from Dubois Regional Med Center DRMC after about 1 yr.

Dr. Paprota is a very good doctor who spends the necessary time to formulate the proper diagnosis. She seems very concerned about her patients and their conditions

Not enough experience, a surface doctor, of course taking new patients as most new doctors are forced to because they are receiving their salaries from a hospital, 15 min is the norm for office visit. You never talk direct when you call, seems it's always through the hospital's call center. The Drs. office may call you back the same day or the next, your concerns are left up to the call center, you constantly talk to the call center, if you need to call back again the same day you will be repeating all your info over again, seems the call center make's the decisions on how important your call is, if you need a refill you tell the call center you do not talk to the Dr.s office direct and of course follow ups, that's how the hospital makes there money. If admitted to hospital, she does not come to hospital to check on you, it's all left up to the new normal of doctors called hospitalist working in hospital who have never met your before. The health care system is changing and… its not for the better, cutting cost is the bottom line. "Primary care doctors are increasingly turning the care of their hospitalized patients over to specialists called "hospitalists." The hospitalist is a hospital-based doctor who does not see patients in an office-based practice. He or she manages the care of patients only while they are in the hospital, turning them back over to their regular physicians when they are discharged. During the time a patient is in the hospital the hospitalist is responsible for all decisions about a patient's care." This hospitalist doesn't even know you, double check the drugs they are giving you, especially antibiotic's or anything you may be allergic to. If you begin to feel uncomfortable with this doctor go to PIttsburgh, don't wait. I feel strongly this Dr. will eventually leave this area as most new doctors do and head for the larger cities. You will then need to see a new doctor, seems that's just the way things are.

Very thorough and is concerned about my health.

She is one of the best doctors that I have seen in a long time.
