Dr. Joan Coupland

Really disappointed with their billing service (I have had billing issues with them for YEARS). I recently had labs done and was told by one of the RN's that it would be $50. Got a bill from Quest for $471.

I have been seeing Dr. Coupland and Gretchen for about 6 years now. They are the most caring and thorough doctors I have ever encountered in my 53 years. They take the time to really listen and their caring for their patients is truly evident with every visit or phone call with the front desk and nursing staff. I would recommend them to anyone. They are wonderful practitioners and just amazing people.

I recently called to make an appointment with Dr. Coupland. Only to be told l do not exist. I have been going to her for 25+ years. l was told they are not taken anymore new patients. ( new patients??? 25+ years is not a patient?) I was told you have to see her once a year to stay current. So l have to stay sick to be a patient? What about all my records?? They do not exist? I am totally disappointed in this behavior. It is all about money. I personally like Dr Coup. But this is unacceptable behavior. It has totally left me with a bitter taste in my mouth.

I work in the healthcare field with a lot of physicians, but there is no one I respect more than Dr. Coupland. She has been my Family's Physician for over 15 years and we all greatly appreciate her.

First of all you must plan to be sick or injured even if it’s a follow up from a hospital! Otherwise wake up a day break and call to see if there is a cancellation. Then it’s about a 10-14 day wait to get an appointment! Then once you arrive 15-30 minutes early you will be waiting and waiting and waiting.... after 90 minutes I walked out ... I had another doctors appointment with a specialist... who was nice enough to remove the 18 stitches in my arm that I went their for..... so she maybe nice but in my opinion not worth the wait PS looking for a new primary care

Dr Coupland always runs behind up to 2 hours. My husband blood sugar was elevated and he waited two weeks for an appt. The day of appt we called to see how she was running for his appt time at 3:30 was told to come at 4. It was 2:48 and she had not seen her 2 pm yet. When he arrived at 3:45 he was told he was too late for appointment and couldn't be seen. He is the type who is always early and not wanting to wait two hours. If you tell him to come later then he should be seen. I guess her time is more important than anyone else or their health.

When her practice first opened it was one of, if not the best. Now it has become, just business as usual. Shop around as you would any other business and see what bang for your buck is out there. I did. Getting allot more for my money. When a doctor looks more at their tablet than in my eyes, it's time to move on. When I am the customer and it's my money, I demand the respect I am due. Or I have no loyalty, period.

I love the doctor, nurses and office staff, with the possible exception of the clerical people, who can be a little snippy. They've moved to a new office (in the same building as the old) and I know they're working on reducing the wait time.

Appointments best be one month ahead of time. Forget an emergency. Waiting time in the reception room runs on an average of 45 to over 60 minutes. But if you are late coming in for your appointment by as much as 10 minute, they read the riot act to you . After waiting upwards of 45 minutes in the reception room you are whisked away to an examination room where I have waited another hour before the doctor blessed me with her presence. One nurse who uses the word lightly (RN) is only an EMT, not a registered RN. Please, the importance of your decision is so grave spend a little extra time seeking a doctor who truly has genuine compassion.
