Dr. Joan Ellen Hader, MD

In response to the person writing about the picture. She is still just as attractive...I knew her 30+ years ago. If you are looking for beauty, see a model to have your GU system corrected. If u want a smart, up to date physican, you go to her. She is busy, she works everyone in however she has wild skills to fix you. I have never been disappointed.

Have been helped by Dr. Hader for years. However, with takeover of practice by Northside Hospital the staff has become deplorable and couldn’t care less. Office manager is about as useful as screen doors on a submarine. CoPays posted incorrect, yet I am the liar / thief as the can't correct their error until I prove it. Drove 45 minutes to appointment. Waited close to 1hr because ‘room wasn’t available’, then 1hr + back in afternoon traffic on 400. Asked if there was a medical emergency. There was none. Doctor is protected and insulated by attitude of better than you group. Previous visit had to drop off specimen. Staff had me wait for 45 minutes, but couldn’t tell me why I needed to. Finally was able to speak to nurse who also wasn’t able to say why I needed to be there. DON’T GO TO THIS DOCTOR or anything owned or affiliated with NORTHSIDE HOSPITAL, i.e. A Northside owned practice billed $1041.00 for a blood test. Insurance paid $69.50 for procedure.

First of all, the pictures she uses on her medical web pages are about 30 years old. She is about 60 now. And about her work, she is very good IF she would slow down and take time to help you. But she won't, because people don't matter anymore. She runs from room to room. And she is also snobby & rude.

After 10 minutes trying to make an appointment I hung up

Waited an hr fir my appt and no one told me Dr Hader was running late. Then 35 min in the exam room still waiting. Told the nurse I had to leave at a certain time. She thought I was bluffing--I wasn't and left when still no exam. Left a note to contact me and she didnt. Three days later spoke to the office mgr who arranged for an early appt. went today and Dr Hader accused me of leaving the last one too soon and blamed me for her having to come in early today --even tho it was to correct her poor svc. So I left again without seeing her. Clearly we're not going to work well if she takes no accountability for her time, has no respect for mine, and thinks hers is more important than mine.

She missed a kidney stone that was blocking my ureter. I could not walk with out falling down. My memory was gone. I could not talk. Thank God I moved to PA. They got it out. I'm a lot better now. Do not go to her.

I met Dr Joan Hader today for the first time. I had previously seen a different urologist here in Atlanta (at a different practice) and had a HORRIBLE experience. I was in search of a new urologist and found Dr Hader. She was WONDERFUL. She was friendly and understanding. She listened to all my complaints and answered all my questions. She did not make me feel like any of my questions were silly (unlike my previous urologist). She ran tests on me today to help determine the cause of all my recurring infections and sent me home with a plan of action that was feasible. Her staff was also VERY courteous and kind. Dr Hader did not make me feel rushed and took her time talking with me and examining me. I would 100% recommend her. My ONLY complaint was that I had to wait about 45 minutes to even see her.

Have been to more urologists that I can count and none have come close to the professional care I received from Dr. Hader. Rank her as the best Doctor I have ever known. Recommend her highly.
