Dr. Joan Elizabeth Loveland, MD

Dr.Loveland is very knowledgeable and kind. Always listens to you, I’ve been her patient for more than 4 years now. I delivered my daughter with her and currently pregnant with my second , definitely getting induced with Dr. Loveland. She’s the best!

Condescending, cold, very unlikeable.

Have loved everyone at bloom except dr. Loveland. Very abrasive and didn’t give me any space to talk or ask questions. Will not see her again!

who would ever guess a gyn appointment would be pleasant and painless? The Bloom office is not only impeccably neat, also warm and welcoming. A bowl of packaged mints and water bottles are a welcome plus in the plush waiting room. I arrived early for my appointment, as this was my first time. I was met with smiles and eye to eye contact. I was escorted back to be seen promptly. I would never know that Dr. Loveland had other patients, as she sat down and poured through my history, not leaving any stones unturned. I felt cared for, and that I mattered.

Dr. Loveland is well established in her new practice and is the same no-nonsense, concerned and skilled physician she always has been.

I saw Dr. Loveland while at Reiter Hill for an OB visit. I was highly disappointed by her bedside manner when I asked questions during my first pregnancy. She dismissed my questions and used foul language. I left the visit in shock and unhappy.

Always considerate, understands life gets in the way sometimes, counsels-not lectures.

I started seeing Dr.Loveland for terrible pelvic pain and spotting.She started out as caring but she changed after the surgery. I was told that I needed a complete abdominal hysterectomy. She informed me that my uterus was to large for the small incision surgery. I was urged to get all bloodwork done quickly(this was done in Sept.)then I was told i had to wait until Nov. for the surgery b/c she needed an attending surgeon.Well, to make a long story short, after the surgery I inquired about the size of my uterus and was told that is wasn't large at all(neither the fibroids.)And am still in as much pain as I was before or more. The last time I had an office visit Dr. Loveland was quite dismissive of my pain and not compassionate.

Dr. Loveland delivered my baby and I switched to make her my primary DR. She is very competent - she got me through my delivery - and also very human. She takes the time to really talk to her patients. Since I have been a mom, no one has spent more than the obligatory 2 minutes asking about how I am doing. Dr. Loveland spent probably 20 minutes talking to me before my annual about being a mom, work life balance and priorities. She is very real and not artificial. I have read that she can be arrogant but I believe she is just honest and perhaps blunt which is unusual with doctors who are always in CYA mode. She is a wonderful doctor. Get an appointment!

Dr. Loveland is by far the worst Dr. I have EVER experienced. I am pregnant with twins, and in my 2nd trimester I was rushed to the ER. I had severe bleeding (bright red) in the middle of the night. My husband called to make an appointment the next day to follow up on the ER visit and make sure everything was fine. Dr. Loveland spent a total of 10 minutes with me, did not know any of my history. She was condescending, rude, and rushed us through our appointment. When I asked whether I should come to expect future complications and how I should react...she told me she "didn't understand the question, and didn't have a Crystal ball." I will NEVER see her again.
