Dr. Joan Marie Mc Elligott, DO

We loved Dr Joan and wish her a great retirement.

I was referred to Doc from my daughter who worked with her at the hospital. It was one of the best moves I have made. Doc actually listens to her patients which I think is remarkable. I haven't had a doctor listen to me in years. She has been right on all her findings and she cares. As far as the staff goes, they are just fine. People have to realize that they deal with the public which can get a little crazy at times. I would recommend her to everyone. She is GREAT!!! Her staff is good too.

I absolutely LOVE Dr. Joan and her MA's/Nurses. I've been going to her for years. The only thing she needs to change is to have classes for her front desk staff in kindness, compassion and friendliness. They are always so short and come across as downright rude at times. If she wasn't such a wonderful Dr. I would even switch Dr's due to their (particularly one) rudeness! I suck it up because Dr. Joan is so great! I just have to grin and bear it to deal with the front desk!

Dr. Joan has been my doctor for many years. She has helped me through a lot of things and correctly diagnosed my MS, thus sending me to Rush MS Center. She is great, no nonsense but a great bedside manner. When my husband needed a new doctor I convinced him to see Dr. Joan. Now we are both patients. We have since moved to Arizona but continue to keep Dr. Joan as our doctor and schedule appts. when we return to the midwest. We miss having such a great doctor in area as it has been difficult finding a go-to doc in Arizona that is on par with Dr. Joan. I would highly recommend her to anyone. Love her staff's professionalism!

I LOVE DR J MCELLIGOTTSHE IS ALWAYS PATIENTSHE ASKS THE QUESTIONS AND LISTENS TOTHE ANSWERS, REALLY LISTENS.NURSE SUE IS SO COMPASSIONATE AND SHE WILL ASK QUESTIONS THAT SEEM TO HELP YOU OPEN UP ABOUT PERSONAL PROBLEMS TOO.IT'S AS IF SHE REALLY CARES.STAFF VERY NICE JUST VERY VERY BUSY BUTALWAYS DO THEIR JOB PROFESSIONALLY& THAT'S WHY DR J MCELLIGOTT'S OFFICE WORKS WELL TOGETHER

Dr McElligott has always been correct with her diagnosis, she listens to you and doesn't rush your visit. Her front desk help could be a little more friendlier. I would highly recommend Dr. McElligott.

I have been a patient of Dr. Joan's almost from the beginning of her practice. She has always been correct with her diagnosis of my problems; even some that are almost impossible to diagnosis. She and her staff have gone out of their way to help me.I would certainly recommend Dr. Joan to those who want a caring, thorough doctor.

Amazing!! That is the main word I would use to describe Dr. Joan. The office staff are great Sue is hysterical I feel like I am among family members or very close friends. I know I will never have another doctor come close to how wonderful she is.

Dr.McElligott takes her time and is caring with adult patients of all ages. She uses language that is understandable, and does not overwhelm you with "doctor language." Her nurse is kind and makes you feel at ease. Oddly, the rest of her staff seems very irritable and are disappointing to talk to on the phone. They are short, sassy and seem miserable that one is making an appointment. Just remind yourself you are here for a fabulous doctor!
