Dr. Joan Younger Meek, MD

When we were there her students saw most patients and even when the student messed up she was too busy to come and double check them, even when specifically requested she refused. Thankfully a different actual doctor took it upon himself to check thus saving a child's life, no thanks to her.

When we knew her student doctor was giving absolutely wrong information, we asked for her to come in and check herself, she refused, as usual pushing everything onto the newbies, more interesting in giving speeches and publishing than in practicing, luckily another actual doctor took it upon himself to step in and help, otherwise my child would likely have died, turns out it was serious and we were about to be blown off and sent home again until a different doctor did the right thing

I left the office of ORH Outpatient Pediatric because the office staff was horrible and it was impossible to get an appointment. However, Dr. Joan Meek is a diamond in the rough. She is a lactation consultant as well as pediatrician and she saved my breastfeeding relationship with my first child, back in 2003. She has also written a book on breastfeeding. I wish she would go to another office!

Dr. Meek is the Best Pediatrician. She takes time to listen and answer questions.
