Dr. Joann Laiprasert-Tantisira, MD

For our first appointment, my partner and I were pretty confident that Dr. Laiprasert was going to be a great doctor for our growing family. However, as time went on, it seemed to us that Dr. Laiprasert did not want to attend us anymore. She was quite rude and unprofessional when it came to helping us fill out forms and when I was extremely ill. I scheduled a phone appointment to seek help from Dr. Laiprasert, however, she never contacted me herself. Instead, I spoke to her nurse, who just brushed me off like if they were too busy to attend to me. This made me quite upset because the conversation was less than 5 minutes long. I wished I would've spoke to the doctor herself, to explain how I felt worse than before. We exchanged a few emails for my illness, and was sent the same article TWICE by Dr. Laiprasert. She made it seem like I didn't read the first article or email that she had sent. Luckily for me, I had already made an appointment with my primary doctor. It turns that… the illness that Dr. Laiprasert was sending articles for, wasn't even the illness that I ended suffering from. If she would've gave me her the proper attention needed, I wouldn't have suffered as long as I did. As well as, missed work for as long as I did. However, this wasn't the end of disappointments with Dr. Laiprasert. As for my paperwork, it took Dr. Laiprasert over a week to scribble on it like a two year old with mistakes all over. Over the phone, I kindly asked the status of my paperwork, however, once again I got brushed off and kicked to the side and was told that "She did not know where my forms were." This was quite alarming. Once I received my paperwork, I was EXTREMELY upset. I knew that I could never show these forms to anyone. I thought to myself, "How is she a doctor if she can't even read instructions or write in between the lines?" Dr. Laiprasert made me feel bad for choosing her to help with my illness, forms and pregnancy. A new mom should NEVER feel that way from a doctor. The big question is: How am I suppose trust someone who treats me like this with my OWN life and the life of my NEW baby??? This is not okay.
