Dr. Joanna Doris Brown, MD

I was a patient of hers for a short period of time years ago. She's very unprofessional and rude. She told me she would no longer be willing to keep me as a patient because I am a transman and she did not feel comfortable providing me with hormones. I was previously prescribed with hormones for years, so it wasn't like I came out to her and wanted her to start me on them (which should not be problematic regardless). I just needed a pcp to do routine blood work and annual check-ups. You know.... the same reasons why everyone else has pcps. Hormones shouldn't be an issue for any doctor. After seeing her a couple of times she left me a message on my cell phone telling me she was cancelling my next appointment with her and told me she would no longer be seeing me. She's a walking example of discrimination and transphobia within health care. If I could give less than one star I would. Now that I am in search for a new pcp this time around I am haunted by my experience with her and hope I'm… not discriminated against and denied care like Dr Joanna Brown did to me.
