Dr. Joanna Finneli Gammons, DO

I've never been so upset with a doctor. I have been coming here for 2 years now and LOVED everything about this practice - the staff and doctor were fantastic. I've struggled with acne for 5+ years and have seen multiple doctors for it - Dr. Gammons finally answered my prayers and prescribed me accutane which has completely cleared my skin up in just under 1 month. HOWEVER, I was scheduled for my one month follow up and I received a call stating THEY ARE NO LONGER ACCEPTING ANY INSURANCE. They had the audacity to call me and ask me to pay $90 for an office visit MID-TREATMENT!!! Is this even legal? Is this malpractice? I am in the middle of treatment and she just cut me off! She did not offer me any other options than to pay her $90 a month just for check ups throughout my course of treatment. I am SO frustrated, as I thought she had answered all my questions and prayers with this new medication. Now, I am forced to find a new doctor within a certain time frame (anyone who is on… Accutane knows the seriousness of having monthly check ups within a certain time-frame.) This is so upsetting. From my experience working in the medical field, this is extremely unprofessional and damaging to her reputation as a medical provider. She could have gave us a warning, or offered us something besides dishing out all my money when I have perfectly good insurance and only $20 copay's. Never have I seen such a careless, unprofessional provider. Do not give her your money, take your insurance coverage elsewhere.

Dr. Joanna is the most personable, friendly, thorough dermatologist that I have seen. And I have seen a few others. The staff is great They are polite on the phone, and they make me smile every time I come in. The Center for Physical Med and Rehab is why I am skin cancer-free. Love this doctor, she is very caring.

I am so happy that I found this dermatologist. Dr. Joanna Gammons is the happiest, personable, caring Dr I have found. She keeps me cancer free. Love the great friendly staff. The front desk is just great.

Dr gammons is the best Dermatologist I’ve seen since Dr Simmons passed. Dr Gammons knows exactly what she’s doing to get your skin soft& healthy. I’m so glad the Dermatologist I was seeing prior to her retired and referred all his patients to her office. That was the best thing he did out of all those years I had be seeing ole Dr Joel Harris.

I called to reschedule an appointment. The woman who answered the phone was rude and seemed bothered to even need to help me. she huffed and sighed loudly when I mentioned the reason for my call & when I asked her about another appointment time I mentioned I would need to call back to confirm but for now I would like to schedule for that time & then when I called back it was already gone...She did it again the second time, but I called back immediately to be clear that we would in fact be rescheduling for that time and then she hung up on me as I was half way through saying the work thank you. I have heard wonderful things about Dr. Gammons, its just a real shame that she has such a vile secretary answering her phones. It really makes the whole place look bad as you don't want to have to deal with the receptionist. I would deal with having to find a new Dr than having to deal with her staff again.

The doctor is great. The staff doesn't return calls. I keep leaving messages but the calls aren't returned.

Really go out of their way to truly take care of a person and help an individual get better. Always a light hearted and leave feeling better!

Dr. Joanna is the most down to earth Doctor I've ever seen. Her bedside manner is awesome, every time I leave the office I have a huge smile! She's funny, vivacious, intelligent, she does the best work on me I have no scars, and the prettiest doc I've ever seen, actually one of the prettiest women I've ever seen. Her office is like a spa, Meg who runs the office cracks me up, and the nurse Julie gives the best shots I never feel anything! It's rare to go to a medical office and be treated like you're part of the family! I wish I could just go and hang out.
