Dr. Joanna Lee Harp, MD

Dr. Harp is very knowledgeable, experienced and sharp in her field. I strongly recommend her as a dermatologist! Her bedside manner is perfect.

I've seen a few dermatologists on the UES and Dr. Harp is the best I've seen. She's very clear about her rationale for specific treatments and in my experience really listens to the patient. After just half a year, she helped me drastically improve acne that I'd had for years. Treatments I'd gotten from other practitioners before seemed overly aggressive, or somewhat careless whereas Dr. Harp's advice and treatment is genuinely tailored to my needs. As an added plus, she is very nice and the office of her practice is very organized and pleasant.

I first saw Dr Harp in the hospital when I was referred by my hospital in Connecticut with a very serious skin condition. She provided a different diagnosis than I had had from 3 previous dermatologists and my condition improved dramatically over the coming weeks. I now make the trip into NY to see her for routine checkups as well. She is super knowledgeable and friendly. Only issue is I need to schedule my visits kinda far in advance because she seems pretty booked up.

I was very pleased with the care/diagnosis provided by Dr. Harp. I found her to be caring, knowledgeable, and extremely concerned and interested in her patients and their issues. I would absolutely recommend her.

Dr Harp is very easy to talk to and seems to really know her stuff. I'm a busy professional so I appreciates that I can get my treatments quickly and not spend tons of time shooting the breeze or waiting around. I'd definitely recommend her.

Dr Harp is amazing, I had seen several dermatologists for a serious skin issue that I've had for the past few years and gotten no where. Dr Harp provided a different diagnosis from all of them, provided treatment and the issue cleared up in a matter of weeks. She is very easy to talk to and knows her stuff. now my entire family goes to see her.

Full disclosure, I am studying to become a dermatologist and have a large interest in this field. I went to Dr. Harp because that is where my insurance put me, but I will not be returning. I was very hopeful for the appointment due to the good reviews I have read, but my experience made me not trust this practitioner. I have acne and as some (poor) dermatologists do, Dr. Harp has a print out with her four select products she recommends to everyone with acne. She circled the ones she told me I needed without listening to my current routine at all. Although I am currently using a 4% BHA and am unable to use benzyl peroxide (and have dry skin), she suggested that I use clindamycin, adapalene, and Spironolactone in addition to my current routine. She also gave no instructions as to how to use the products (such as the fact that certain products should be left on the skin for an extended amount of time before placing a moisturizer on top of them). Beginning all of these at the same time, as… she suggested, would have left my skin in horrible shape without knowing what the cause was. She also didn't tell me about the larger risk factors from sun exposure that these medications put into effect. I'm glad I had background knowledge in this subject before starting on such a harsh regimen.

Dr Joanna Harp is a wonderful doctor !!! I was diagnosed with shingles I decided to take a second opinion from a dermatologist . I went in person at Cornell 's Dermatology clinic and i was seen from Dr Harp within half hour after I finished the paper work as a new patient .I was so happy to be seen from the doctor after their overwhelmed schedule of appointments and i was the last patient. Doctor Harp took her time , very sharp , you could tell her excellence of knowledge in her field., humble person, neat office and very polite staff. She was communicating with me over the phone to check my medical condition and was responding my phone calls at the same day.I was in tears when i left and felt that there is people out there that care for you! Best experience i had ever !!!
