Dr. Joanna Kokoszka, MD

Late summer I was in deteriorating health, unable to function normally with no clear reason why. I was admitted to Methodist Hospital and for 2 days had numerous tests and scans. At the end the second day we didn’t seem to be any closer to knowing why I couldn’t eat, climb a flight of stairs, hold my grandchildren. I feared I would be discharged without any answers. But the hospitalist in charge of my care, Dr. Kokoszka refused to give up. She had me go over all my symptoms again with her. She took another look at all of the test results and ordered some new tests and by the next morning had figured out what was wrong. I was given a new medication and within hours I was feeling better. Every day there after I got stronger. I am so thankful for Dr Kokoszka‘s care, skill and determination. I am back to living my life normally. I still have major health challenges ahead but can tackle those with renewed strength and energy thanks to Dr. Kokoszka. Thank you Dr. Kokoszka and the 4th… floor staff for giving me my life back.

Dr. Kokoszka is an outstanding doctor! She will persist until she finds the best course of action. She listens carefully so that she can answer your questions. It’s so obvious that she genuinely cares about her patients!
