Dr. Joanna Kowalewski

Jack Gruber DDS was recommended to me by the dentist I've been seeing for the last 20 years for gum recession on my lower bicuspid after straightening my teeth. I made an appointment and thought any copays would be billed through insurance. When I got to the office, I was waiting for OVER 45 minutes and he saw me for all of 2 minutes, poked my gums and told me everything I already knew. I need a gum graft. When I went to leave, the receptionist told me I had to pay a very large copay and that she couldn't send the bill to my house. Nobody EVER mentioned anything about a copay that I had to pay right there and then and I didn't have the money on me. Not when I made the appointment or when she called my house or when I was sitting in the waiting room for over 45 minutes. My dad ended up paying for it because he just so happened to be there to pick me up. The whole conversation sounded rehearsed as both Dr Gruber AND the receptionist said the exact same thing that wouldn't… normally come up in conversation and both of them kept telling me to get his "as seen on TV" toothbrush that could grow back my gums. The receptionist told me he's "the best". I won't know because I'm NOT going back for the gum graft with this doctor or back to this office. One office visit with this periodontist has ruined a 20 year relationship.

I’m very lucky that one of my friend recommended Dr. Kowalewski to me. She is an honest person very warm and not greedy like most dentists are! I went to see top dentist in Manhattan and they all asked to do lot of procedures and very expensive pricing... I got so lucky to be her patient she did an excellent job and I love to come to get my teeth fixed here... All of my friends travel now from all over to see Dr. Kowalewski The best dentist.

Great doctor very professional

My family and I have been going to Doctor Kowalewski for the last 10+ years, ive personally had so much work done here its embarrassing but the staff is very welcoming and the doctor always was painless, surprisingly fast and thorough. Never had a problem with anything and i love how honest and sweet she is. My friends, family and coworkers are ALL patients of hers. I give drk 5 stars!
