I was a relatively new Dialysis patient. Decided to transfer drs to be treated by 1 instead of a different one each month bc my blood pressure was not controlled. Also, decided to do home hemo bc daily dialysis vs 3x/week would help. Last day at center she wished me luck and told me it would be great. Then she called the dr I was transferring and told him not take me as a patient. Then her practice blackballed me with every nephrology office working with Memorial Hospital Systems. Had to go to the ER for hours to days for every dialysis treatment for months. Ended up going private with Cleveland Clinic where I got an amazing Dr!!! Someone who CARES about my life - that because of a recommendation from NxStage Parkland where I the trained for home hemodialysis. Note: I had a baby. I was breastfeeding. I had just lost my mother. My sister died shortly thereafter. Their practice is toxic and evidences everything wrong with nephrology. Only a truly evil person could deliberately try to… keep a person from a life-sustaining protocol like dialysis.
