Dr. Joanna Elizabeth Sampson, MD

Has to be one of the few doctors with a kind, compassionate personality while being proficient, professional, and knowledgeable. On time, procedures run smoothly, listens, and explains as if you are her only patient.

I booked an appointment and then called the office to cancel my appointment five days prior to the appointment. I received three letters requesting that I pay a $50 no show fee with a threat that I will be sent to collections if I don't pay it. I called the office and spoke to two different receptionists who both told me that I would have to write a letter to the practice manager if I wanted the fee waived. They wouldn't give me a fax number--snail mail only! Ridiculous that I shoukd have to jump through hoops when I cancelled my appointment with more than adequate notice! Since I am a new patient, I never even signed a financial policy regarding no show fees with Dr. Sampson's office!! Considering the unethical behavior by the office staff I would be reluctant to receive care from the physicians. Needless to say, I will not be paying a no show fee that I don't owe nor will I ever book an appointment with this practice.
