Dr. Joanna Christine Shepherd, MD

This doctor had no intention of listening to me or even caring about me as a patient. She actually put me in tears, cut me off after asking me one question and made me feel like a waste of her time. I am completely floored that she still has a job. Very bad bedside manner and not interested in patient care at all.

I have seen her twice and she was kind and courteous. took time to answer my questions and would recommend her.

I am unsure if Dr. Shepherd works full time as she has younger children. Sometimes there’s a few days wait to see her… but I feel it’s worth it! I see her as do my 3 boys (ages 8, 9, & 10). They love her, too! First, her nurse Peggy is wonderful! She is welcoming, friendly and always open to helping if Dr. Shepherd isn’t readily available. She responds to emails and phone calls quickly. Dr. Shepherd is kind, funny, patient and spot on with her diagnoses. She is prudent with prescriptions, although ready to write them if needed. She also is ready to refer if the diagnosis warrants it. I’ve gotten quick replies to my emails during the week and she’s even contacted me over the weekend to jump start treatments. Give her a try, she’s worth it!

I have been dealing with anemia for YEARS. She saw my numbers and put me on iron infusions. Made such a difference in my life. Very thankful.

She is the worst doctor I’ve ever had. She’s rude, dismissive, and I feel like just by making an appointment I’m bothering her. One time I came in for an appointment and she snapped at me to that she didn’t have time for me to waste and to sit on the table, because I was taking a second to put my purse down (I have horrible back and spine issues so at times I move slowly). Even the nurses on her staff, (Peggy I think is the one I’m thinking of) are either equally as rude or just so strung out and stressed from working with someone so rude they’ve become just as bad. I’m switching my doctor as I write this review, because I’m so fed up with working with her.

Dr Shepherd was VERY rude to my very I'll father. My father has stage 4 cancer & came in with a blood infection. She had the nerve to come in & tell him he has less than 2 weeks and if he continues antibiotics it would be pointless! And getting a second opinion would be pointless! Needless to say, we submitted a very lengthy complaint to the hospital. She should not be working on any patient!

She almost caused my dad to have a heart attack by taking him off of his meds he had taken for 25 years without consulting his Cardiologist!!!

never want treatment from this doctor again!!!!
