The man that states she has no knowledge of cognitive or handicapped girl . she is full of lies and control issues sick in some kind of belief she is top doctor not done more and saved so many life's without schooling learned by being a good person running to help another as I saved my girl lots of time s from this place shutting down her body oh horror stories can be told over and over from me I am not happy or my sick girl with this place melodies oh yeah memories of lie s and sick actions she did to us can't write it now it's overwhelming to think of .keeps my girl in pain and now neglects her body with spasms and anxiety quadriplegic that gets treated as the harness that holds her from life movements and her tricks are done time to move on to a compassionate doctor will not let her use authorities on me over over to get looked like she cares or knows she has lied so much how can I trust her with my girl if she lies so bad and staff same way must leave this unrealistic place of… horror .no more must go to court and have trial to get results .so sad this is life that you are s u oppose to believe to be real .

My family had a disastrous experience with Porter when she mandated herself in my baby's care. This review is specifically for NICU parents...1. Porter is stationed at the Melody center where she works with terminal children with cancer. She has no training in neurology, orthopedics, or neonatal care. 2. Ask your attending to let you read the blue chart so you can read what Porter is saying behind your back. 3. Ask medical records for copies of her physian note where she communicates with your baby's doctors. 4. Make sure your baby's team discloses if they are part of the Journey's program. 5. No matter what your baby's diagnosis/prognosis, your county has an Early Intervention program that will work with your baby when discharged from the NICU. 6. No matter what Porter says, palliative care/hospice is NOT mandated by NY state or Albany Med. 7. You can refuse Porter and Journey's at any time, refer to patient bill of rights #6. *Porter made it seem like there was no hope… for my baby and we should just wait for death. My baby is 2 years old and with the help of early intervention is progressing every day. Don't give up hope! They call Porter "Dr. Morbid" and the Journey's team "the Grim Reapers" for a reason.

Dr. Porter is extremely caring and very much tuned into the emotional trauma experienced by parents when their child has been diagnosed. My son is a teenager and she speaks directly to him, involves him in treatment decisions and focuses on his questions and concerns as well as ours. She is a Godsend to any parent dealing with childhood cancer.
