Dr. Joanne Kay Licking Rutgers, MD

Dr. Joanne Rutgers is a Diplomat of the American Board of Pathology in Anatomic, Clinical and Cytopathology. She completed a 2 ? year American Cancer Society fellowship in Gynecologic Pathology under the direction of Robert E. Scully, MD, at the Massachusetts General Hospital. Dr. Rutgers is Associate Clinical Professor of Pathology at both U.C.L.A. and U.C.I. and has published over 45 articles in peer-reviewed journals. She has 15 years of experience in pathology and has worked at Long Beach Memorial Medical Center since 1996. She is active in general Surgical Pathology, including Gynecologic and Gastrointestinal Pathology. She is Medical Director of the Cytopathology Laboratory at LBMMC. She provides consultative services in Gynecological Pathology, including tumors of the female genital tract and Pap smears.
