Dr. Joannie Dorothoi Sun, MD

I have recently started going to Dr Sun because of her ability to specialize in cancer of the skin. I’ve had basal cell and much worse a sebaceous cancer on my eyelid that was misdiagnosed by an Opthomologist. I’m now going to Dr Sun to continually monitor this situation. I’m happy with her kindness and her expertise. My concierge doctor recommended Dr.Sun and I’m thankful to be her patient. The office staff was thoughtful and concerned as they helped me make my appointment.

Referred to her by my boyfriend who had seen her in the past. My network was long in wait time so o paid her a large sum of $$& for an office visit whereupon she misdiagnosed me, charged my boyfriend for sitting in on the visit and prescribed him the same medication I was to apply, I reached out to her office three times via phone and she stood by her right to misdiagnose and charge my boyfriend as well. After seeing her I went to urgent care and a dermatologist with ethics and diagnostic skills who resolved my rash and her office cash fee was 40% less than Dr Sun. I would give her a minus STAR . I am a retired RN nicu practitioner and her practice is questionable.

My wife and I have seen Dr. Sun several times over the years. She's always very pleasant and takes our concerns seriously. Always a great experience.

Got harassed by her office staff and she could care less.

Dr. Sun is thorough in her assessment and always on time.

Dr Sun is my derm. I had a basal cell on my head and although she does Mohs she sent me to a plastics guy who botched me Three infections later I knee crawled into her and within weeks it was gone I love Dr Sun. She is a good friend as well as doctor

Dr. Sun is very professional and she listens. She had suggestions and options for follow-up. She made me feel comfortable and not self conscious.

Joannie is very bright...but more importantly she takes an infinite amount of time to hear your problems and offers realistic solutions. Her soothing voice is relaxing as she gives you the best options.

Great personality and bedside manner, which in my experience, is a rare quality with specialists. She performed my skin exam professionally and addressed all of my concerns. She also took the time to make a few recommendations and to put together some samples of products to help with some skin issues. Overall, a great experience and I would highly recommend her. Her support staff however, need a bit more social skills.
