Dr. Smith peformed surgery on my daughter to remove a very large glioma. She is amazing! She makes you feel comfortable and loves your child like her own. She spends time with the patient and the parents and never makes you feel rushed. She encourages questions. Her office staff is also wonderful. Their followup is great and they never make you feel bad for calling and asking questions.

My daughter had spine surgrey done about 2 weeks ago DR. Smith was the best Dr we have ever delt with she was very nice attentive and heart warming also very consoleing with all are fears and treated our daughter as if it were her own:-) she spent a lot of time with her as well words really can't describe how we feel but I am so thankful that we met and had DR. My son became Dr. Smith patient in 2009, he had reconstrructional craniosis surgery. He was 7 months old and she never left his side the whole 5 hr surgery! Everytime we have came down to visit she has given us the most respected attention! We just had to do another surgery,he is 4 yrs old. She stayed with him the whole time again! Dr Smith performed a Chiari Malformation decompression surgery on my two and a half year old daughter. She was very professional and is an extremely gifted surgeon. Dr. Smith made herself accessible to us in every way possible and even showed up on a weekend to make sure our child was doing okay. She made sure our daughter was comfortable and spoke with such confidence before the surgery it put us at ease. Dr. Smith answered our questions in entirety and explained the procedure and recovery all of the MANY times I asked her. Dr. Smith's bedside manner is remarkable with children and her knowledge is admirable. Dr. Smith is one of the most gifted and caring physician's we have ever encountered. Our son had a very complex spinal defect. Dr. Smith successfully repaired the defect and after spending 11 hours in surgery stayed with our son in the recovery room until he was ready to move to a room. She is so hands on and answers every single question in terms that parents can understand. She is accessible even at odd hours and her staff is professional and highly skilled as well.
