Dr. Jose Angel Anzaldua JR., MD

I have contacted them very first days of 2023 and got an appointment for February 3th . I have been told it was the earliest available date. I have waited a month for this appointment and I came early in order to fill out necessary paperwork. Registrar asked my name and immediately said that they were so sorry that they are not accepting my insurance and they tried to reach me the day before to cancel appointment. It s nonsense, they wasted my one month and “ decided to cancel my appointment after one month” why did you give ne appointment in the first place, secondly it might be right that you are not accepting my insurance if so why waited to call me last minute, even I don’t think that you tried to call me. Front office person is so cool “ we tried to leave you a massage yesterday” she says. Why are you trying to leave a massage, don’t try , just leave but not last minute, ahead of time

Dr Anzaldua is rude when ever I visit running lots of test.for nothing he is running lots of test I suggest pls don’t visit him

This doctor is the rudest and most arrogant I have ever been to. I would not recommend him to anyone.

I was a patient of Dr. Anzaldua for about 20 years. The past three years or so was all I could take and decided to find a better doctor. First off, it's almost impossible to see him especially if it's an illness. For no known reason, he started making me come in every 6 months for checkups even though my only issue had been high cholesterol. My cholesterol levels have been normal with meds for over 10 years. He stated my insurance required it. I called my insurance company and they told me they would never tell a doctor to do something like that. My HR manager said the same thing. My 6 month "checkup" was nothing more than a blood pressure check, look in my ears, and talk about new area restaurants. This cost me a co-pay. Even though I've been steadily losing weight (male 205 lbs.), he ridiculed me in from of his intern and laughing that I needed to lose a lot more. My blood pressure was up and he suggested I get on meds. I told him I take my blood pressure at home on two… different monitors (I was an EMT) and it's never been high. I also told him I go to the fire station to get it check once per month. He wouldn't believe me. Funny thing, he NEVER once checked my blood pressure. The nurse always did it and just the one time. By the way. I never once knew the name of Anzaldua's nurse/s. It seems like he always had a different one and none of them seem very friendly. Dr. Anzaldua never gave me a one year renewal on my cholesterol med. It was always just one 90 day fill, so the pharmacy had to call him each time for a refill. Even CVS thought it was odd. The final straw came a few months ago. I needed a refill on my cholesterol meds. He wouldn't refill it. The nurse said it was because I was overdue for my checkup. Months ago, I called for an appointment but the earliest I could get in was ONE month after my due date for my 6 month check up. He wouldn't even give me a one month supply to hold me over until my check up. I was seeing Dr. Anzaldua on a regular basis from day one (every 6 months the last 2 years), so it frustrated me why he started doing this. I decided it was time to find another doctor. This past week, I went to another doctor. My blood pressure was normal as were ALL my lab numbers. That doctor told me to come back in 12 months. When I told him the issues I had with Dr. Anzaldua, he looked confused. My new doctor said he would have no issues refilling my cholesterol med to hold me over until I could be an appointment. By the way, he ordered me a one year prescription for my cholesterol (not just a 90 day supply). I've been to my new doctor just one time. I already know his nurse's name and some of the front office employees. I'm so much better off.

He is terrible! All he cares about is the money. He needs to re-read his oath in DO NO HARM!!! He nor his stafff care!!! He never returns a call. He is a very poor doctor!! Don’t waste your time-you will regret it!!! Go to another doctor who truly cares because Dr Anzaldua does not!!!

I have known Dr. Anzaldua for almost 30 years. He is a great doctor and really cares about his patients.

25 years of seeing this doctor and he dropped my husband and I like a HOT POTATO because of insurance. He used to be about the care, now he's all about the wallet. Thanks Obama and Dr Joe

Great Doctor friendly & personal Has controlled my allergies 2 years in row. Staff very friendly

I was there for a Workman's Comp problem. He treated me like I was a long-time patient. Personable. Spends time explaining my condition and my treatment.

Dr. Anzaldua is the best doctor in the world. I have been going to him since 1990. He has never misdiagnoised me & he always takes time to listen to me. He even helps me prevent certain things when I'm sick. For example I had the chicken-pox when I was 19 & what a bad time I had of it. I went into see him & b/c of my age he automatically gave me couch medicine just in case & sure enough w/in 48 hrs I had a cough. Any time I go to him w/something that he isn't certain of he tells me that & refers me to a specialist & his office staff even helps me get into an appt w/that specialst. All of his staff members are super polite & professional at all times. I don't know what I would do if this man wasn't my doctor. He's always honest, curteous, knows my name, & helps me whenever he can. He is truly a God send. Thank you Dr. Anzaldua for always being there & helping me through all my crisis.
