Dr. Joe William Bateman, MD

Dr. Bateman Is a terrible doctor. I have NEVER had a medical doctor yell at me and walk out of the room to never return. His staff is very unprofessional. I pray no one has him, he honestly shouldn’t be allowed to practice medicine. Lack of professionalism and bed side manner. He never even explained what was happening to me, everyone I came into contact with at Northside behaved just like him, they are honesty deplorable human beings. They should not be in medicine at all let alone “caring” for sick patients.

Sent by my doctor to the ER, and after explaining about the blood in my urine, he said after staring at some papers "I don't understand why you are here." He continued to act as though I was there with cold symptoms ( my niece, who works at Northside as an RN), was present and was taken aback by his shortage of empathy and outright sour bedside manner; and for this he still received payment.

Professional and sympathetic, this fine emergency doctor ,Joe Bateman and his efficient staff,is a credit to Northside hospital.

Dr. Bateman gave a quick and wrong diagnosis without even asking me more questions or do some research based on the disease I had. His bedside manner was very poor. He left the room to check my dianogsis on the portal from a previous Dr. but never came back to give me a conclusive feedback before I was discharged. I insisted to the Physician Assistant that I want to talk to him before I leave the hospital. I had to wait for almost 2 hours for Dr. Bateman to come back to the room. When he finally came, I told him how I felt about the treatment received from him, he decided not to apologize. He was very rude and unprofessional to me and my wife. He doesn't deserve to work at Northside Hospital. He will help to bring down the Northside reputation.
