Love Dr Buford! He is caring and will go above and beyond to make sure you are taken care of and get better. Don’t be surprised if he calls later to check in on you! That’s how awesome he is!

Doctor Joe Lee Buford has been my family doc since my father was one of his first patients. I have been personally seeing him for over 15 years myself and couldn't imagine not having him as my PCP. He has helped cure many illnesses from Flu to Double Lung Infections (Hospital stays) and he was right by my side every day and came in every day to care for me. He is AMAZING. He is a angel that was sent to care for so many!!1 Thanks Doctor B for being so amazing and exceptional.

Dr. Buford has been my primary care physician for approximately the past fifteen years. He is very professional, is an expert at making quick and accurate diagnoses, as well as knowing how to make appropriate decisions when prescribing medications for his patients. He is an excellent listener and is extremely compassionate. In my opinion, he is the best primary care physician I have ever known.

I have heard Dr. Buford is a great MD but the staff he has is very rude. There is two men who answer the phone. I believe one is Brandon and the other one I can not remember. I was needing info on one of his patients for a facility. I called about 10 times over two days and was greeted every time with "Can you hold please" to which I said "Yes." I did not know that meant for 5-7 minutes. Then to be hung up on or transferred to sit on the phone waiting longer. The waits were not even the biggest problem honestly. It was the way the window witches were when they answered the phone or hung it up. I never was rude or loud. I said please I need this paperwork but it was not taken seriously. Its okay because next time I will be rude in person. Get nicer people to work for you please!

I started with Doctor Buford a few years ago after a friend referred him to me. Before I went to Cabot Medical Clinic for years. I knew something was wrong, but could not figure it out. The first time I went to Doctor Buford he tested me for diabetes and found out that I was diabetic. My cholesterol was over 350, my diabetes was elevated, my kidneys and liver count was not good, ... Well, after taking the medication that doctor Buford has me on everything is working out well. They keep check on my liver, kidneys, cholesterol, and overall wellness on a regular basis. Honestly, I read a couple of the posts that cast a negative shadow over the doctor and staff and I believe that to be so far from the truth. He is the best doctor I have ever been to and the staff are very polite and well trained.

For a doctor that is committed to his job with compassion, he has failed except for his nurse Gayle and an exceptional employee Michael that has since left, to instill that same drive and compassion in his other employees. Expect to be treated rudely and to be lied to by his office. Office Clerk Chrissy Cook usually doesn't want to be bothered by her job and it will take her an extraordinary amount of time to do referrals and often speaking in demeaning tones. Office Clerk Denise Lee has very knowledge of filing claims and often my claims are filled in error and are usually filed months after the visit. She also ordered the staff for patients not to be seen if they owe any money which is done in front of the entire lobby. If payment is owed like copay, they will take away your prescriptions until you go to an ATM down the street and come back. They will also lie booking you weeks in advance for any appointments. These go against the philosophy of Dr. Buford in conversations… with him . I have also witnessed on a number of occasions Office Clerks Denise Lee, Leisa House, Chrissy Cook, Amanda, and Tyson James be verbally abuse to Dr. Buford's toxicologist Michael Dean , lunge at him, scream at him, and spend considerable time talking loud enough to bash him in front of patients and drug reps and right before he left was subjected to acts of hate crime and theft by those same clerks. A police report was filed supposedly but from my last visit very little has changed except they lost one of the best employees he had. They often practice the same behavior to Dr. Buford as well. My advice is to ignore his staff most times and ask to speak with Dr. Buford for anything that does not put the patient first.

Best Doc in Little Rock!! The whole staff treat you as a person not a number. Joe Lee is the best!!!

The staff has always been friendly even when it's busy. Service is quick, and the Doc is very diligent to address any concerns. I highly recommend him.

Worst doctor on the planet. He's direct cause for my heart attack with his lack of supervision and concern. Dr of the 1800 era.paperwork stacked to the roof and does not use computers to keep up with patient. Stone age medicine.
