This is the first time I have needed a cardiologist. I started seeing Dr Hackworth in 2019 when I was diagnosed with a heart attach, Left bundle branch block (LBBB) to be exact. I was 48. He took excellent care to sit down with my husband and I to explain what this diagnosis meant. Dr Hackworth pulled up pictures, and even videos to explain what had happened to my heart and how this would effect my daily life. We were completely overwhelmed before we went in to the appointment and had a page of questions. Dr Hackworth patiently answered them all and I never felt rushed. I was depressed from the diagnosis but felt reassured by the time I left the office, that I had an expert that was able to give me a clear idea of how to proceed going forward. Dr Hackworth put into laymen’s terms what we couldn’t understand prior to the appointment. I really appreciated how considerate he was with teaching us about the cardiovascular system and how to explain my diagnosis to my son. I had… no problem with waiting 20 minutes for our appointment and no problem with the staff. They did their job efficiently. I wasn’t expecting hospitality, I was at a cardiology office not the Ritz Carlton. After seeing Dr Hackworth I realized why he was so well respected in the industry by patients and other Cardiologist in Cincinnati and other hospitals. I feel very fortunate that I was able to have him perform my angiogram and feel I received excellent care for my LBBB.

I have been with Dr. Hackworth since 1991, great bedside manners, easy to communicate with. His nursing staff however leaves a lot to be desired. They are rude, not very knowedgable and seems to feel they are above others. If they are having a bad day you will know. Never had an issue until Dr. Hackworth until he went under the Mercy health cover.

This Dr has a terrific bedside manner and is very knowledgable. Kept waiting for a half hour and 15 minute appointment time does not allow for questions to be answered. The nurses/support staff never smile and are miserable women who excel at giving patients the bums rush. Too bad this outstanding Dr. doesn't have office support personnel who don't even know the importance of smiling at patients. They also lack follow through.

I whould take my dog to dr hackworth he needs to train more very rude

I have a better understanding of my medical situation and the available options. I have great confidence in Dr. Hackworth and give him the highest recommendation to anyone looking for a cardiologist. He also has taken great care of my husband.
