Dr. Joe Michael Hannah, MD

My daughter sees Dr Hannah at his office in IU medical north office. When I had my daughter he was actually doing his rounds on a Saturday meeting with his new patients that were just born at Clarian North (the hospitals name is medical north now) and one of the nurses had told him my daughter was born with 11 fingers. He came in talked to me about how common this was, asked if I wanted him to remove it, he did for free. I love this doctor. He caught on to some of her health issues and referred me to a specialist quickly. I have never had to wait for more than 20 minutes for an appointment and have called him a few times at his home, I was always very paranoid when my daughter was a baby, he was very understanding and even offered to come see her on a holiday. I read some other reviews about his staff, I didn't find them true. They've always been very nice and made my daughter think it was so exciting to be weighed and measured, they even have a basket of suckers and stickers to… choose from.

Dr. Hannah was fairly nice for our three visits for our infant. The visits did seem rushed never lasting more than ten minutes. On our third visit however we informed him we wanted to hold off temporarily for our sons next round of vaccines. He immediately said "this visit is over",and after saying we wasted his time headed for the door. From the time we said we wanted to wait on the shots he got very rude and never interacted with our son again. He never expressed any interest in having us return after we got our son his shots, and left us with a feeling the visit ended on a very unprofessional tone.

Love Dr. Hannah! He is so perfect with my 3 week old daughter. He never hesitates to answer every question and concern I have. I highly recommend seeing him!

Dr. Hannah was my pediatrician back in the day and now he is my children's. They love going to see him and he is always friendly and warm. He always makes sure that when we leave any and all conflicts are resolved and all questions have been answered. I never have been disappointed by him or his staff.love love love everyone at both facilities!

Overall I really liked Dr. Hannah. He is very knowledgeable & generally available when needed. However, his staff demonstrated poor customer service & was at times unprofessional or unaccommodating. I would see other kids get offered suckers or stickers after a visit. After 3 years of my son being his patient he has NEVER been offered a treat upon leaving. However, the tip of the ice burg was when I came into the office 1st out of 3 other families. They were all called into the office before my son & I. When I asked why & mentioned I had already been waiting 45 mins. the response I got was, "I don't know, but I'll find out." They quickly got me in. However, when I discussed my dissatisfaction w/ how (in general) unaccommodating his staff has been, Dr. Hannah's response was, "if you don't like it, you can find another doctor." And you bet we did.

Dr. Hannah is wonderful. We recently switched to him after being with the same pediatrician for 3 years. I agree that you must have the wrong doctor. When we expressed concern about our daughter, unlike our other pediatrician who didn't feel a specialist was necessary, Dr. Hannah had us in the following week, and now we are scheduling surgery. He and his staff are amazing at both locations. I wish we would have found him 3 years ago!

he was my doctor when I was little and now he is my children doctor he cares about the kids and is there when you need him

A complete dissapointment! He could not accurately diagnose what was wrong with my daughter and called my 4 mth old infant difficult. He did not want to refer her to a specialist and said "I am the Specialist". He was not happy with the diagnosis and medicine of the Specialist. He was extremely defensive and conbative. I would never recommend this doctor to anyone.
