Dr. Joe Walter Kutz, MD

I spent less than 5 minutes with Doctor Kutz, total. After asking a resident to get my history (which is 100% fine, it is a teaching hospital after all), he comes in and offers an explanation which doesn't fit either my medical records or the history I gave. Without performing about 2/3rds of the tests needed to validate or invalidate my *ALREADY ESTABLISHED* diagnosis, he effectively told me "My family member had this other disorder, you sound a lot like what my family member went through" and proceeded to give me a link to his podcast. He said It was likely a completely different condition than what I was seeking surgery for. He would not let me look up the condition in order to ask any questions. When I got out of the office and was able to educated myself on what he though it was, he had effectively, in my own medical records, accused me of faking a life altering disability without having gathered anywhere near enough information to do so. I strongly recommend that you, dear… reader, find a doctor who will take time and listen. And avoid this guy like the plague, unless you need a new podcast to listen to.

After multiple doctors and specialists, I came to UTSW in hopes of proactive problem solving. With excellent insurance, ordering an MRI would have cost me nothing, yet garnered money for UTSW. Follow-up after suggesting a dentist, to return in two months and see his MA will not diagnose expediently. Did not seek prescription pain medication; just answers.

As I am fearful of Ear doctors he was patient, understanding and took his time explaining and answering my questions

Friendly staff very busy practice and he talks fast. Waited an hour for 15 minute visit.

Horrible Dr. Kutz lacks compassion and his team at Childrens lacks the ability to communicate with patients and parents! After months wasted now looking for a new Dr for Ci implants!

I'll always had great service with Dr. Kutz.
