Dr. Joe Osaben, DO

No doubt, the most unproffesional physician I have ever met. ARROGANT fits just fine, as does RUDE. I'll quit there with the kindest comments I can post here. You don't want to hear the rest of my venting.

although I'm not a drug seeker complaining about not getting more drugs.

I scheduled an appointment with Dr Osaben after doing a search for a pain doctor in Rockford. I was having pain in my lower back for several weeks. The office very nice when scheduling my appointment and they got me in the next day! I thought I had pulled a muscle but after a visit with Dr Osaben he explained what had happened and sent me to see one of the physical therapists there. Marc was upbeat and very clear on what needed to be done and even gave me some stretches to do at home. I have to say without getting or needing pain killers I was better and back on the golf course in 2 weeks. (my game even got better)

Absolutely horrible attitude. Honestly don't know why he's a doctor.

after the fist visit i wasn't impressed with his attitude very short wouldnt listen to me when i tried to tell him my history.just gave me medication that i ad all ready tried and had bad reaction to . i thought everyone has a bad day went back 2 weeks later he said i was having a bad reaction to meds. he took me off them and gave me a different prescription (wasn't covered by insurance) to get new perscription you have to turn in old one when withdraws from the tramadol for a week before i could get the new prescription covered. i started having problems right a way with nucynta the list if problems was long but the kicker was possible drug interactions with my asthma meds. i tried to tell him about it but he wouldn't listen and said to keep taking them. im going to tapper off the meds and not go back . ill try to find a someone that will listen. the only good thing about the office is the rest of the staff. they were always very friendly

I do not reccomend anyone going to dr. Osaben. The very first visit he took me off my pain meds that i have been prescribed for over 5 years... Thus resulting in withdrawls and even more pain than ever before. He didnt really take time to listen to what i had to say, he didnt look at my medical history, and he is rude and haa very bad bedaide manner.

I was reading to see if Dr O'Saben was still in business and to my surprise he is still working for Cevene Clinic who pride themselves in caring about people and not the disease, illness or injury. Unfortunately, this Dr does nothing for Cevene's reputation at least up until last year. So much has happen with this clinic in the last six months, how unfortunate. No one really knows who is running what-that's real unfortunate too. They do have somewhat of a caring staff at least when you are in the office they seem caring who really knows what goes on after you have left the office. Moreover, clinics, hospitals, or surgery centers should not keep doctors on board who are rude and uncaring to people. This says a lot about the person they are. Just because you take home a big fat check does not give you the right to treat people like an animal. My advice to Cevene Clinic is to have this doctor replace and perhaps take a look at some others doctors in the neighborhood who would love to… treat people with dignity and respect. Who does he think he is? Does he own the clinic? What kind of investment have you made in the clinic because they have not gotten rid of you? However, since we serve a God of many chances, perhaps this is what Dr Cevene and family is doing for you Dr O'Saben. Treat the person, not the symptoms. If you believe in non-medicinally treatment then act like it and do it with ease. No wonder the rest of the chiropractic clinics are ahead they are Christian based and care about folks, not money or medicine. They care about what matters which is why they are so blessed. Take heed! I have wanted to say something about Dr O'Saben for a long time. He would do well to work under another doctor, perhaps in a hospital setting where he is watched daily. Your thoughts?

The only reason for 1 star is because it won't allow me to choose no stars. It seems to me that reviewer John Doe below is either Dr O'Saben or his mother. This is the very worst Dr that I have ever seen. I went to see him because another Dr recommended that I see an Osteopath for my specific problem. He was extremely rude, arrogant and uncaring. That is who he is. This is not about people being disappointed because they couldn't get drugs from him. This is about a man who treats people that are in chronic pain in an abusive manner. This person doesn't belong in the medical field, or in any profession that works with people or animals. Perhaps cleaning the restrooms would be a much better fit for him and patients alike.

I think he was great, I did look at the reviews but im not a drug addict or pill popper. It seems most pain docs on reviews got an ear full from people wanting drugs then mad with the outcome...., no drugs. I'm not a doctor but thought he was very good all the way around. the whole office was impressive to me. hope this helps

Dr. O'Saben may be very knowledgeable in his practice. However, I was very turned off by his bedside manner and his lack of willingness to completely listen to me. I felt his physical treatment of me (while already in extreme pain) was insensitive and somewhat arrogant. I left his office in tears and would absolutely not recommend this doctor to friends or family. His office staff was very accommodating and more willing to listen to my concerns about my appointment. I did not have to mention who I saw, and they seemed to already know why I was upset. The office staff and another doctor in the clinic took time to fully listen to and examine me.
