I was referred to Dr. Atchison and from day 1 my insurance decided to put us all through hell to get a surgery that was not only needed for my physical health but for my mental health, too. My insurance just saw my gender identity and placed crazy hoops for us to jump through. He fought as hard as I did--maybe even more. I finally got the approval and he even asked the hospital for an extra day of hospital use for me. I am very happy with the surgery results and I'm healing very well. I have my life back! I can breathe, walk and live much better now. He and his team went above and beyond for me. They were there for me every step through denials and appeals and they were even willing to fight in court for me. Dr. Atchison has a wonderful personality and he made sure that I felt in control and safe the entire time we worked together. I felt respected--which is not always the case being trans.

Dr. Atchison did an AMAZING job on my breast reduction surgery. He and his nurses made sure I was comfortable and they answered all questions I had. I would recommend him to everyone!
