Dr. Joel M Beltran, DO

Dr. Beltran dropped me as a patient after screaming at me because I inquired about an MRI. He told me I was delusional and needed psychiatric help. Nope, turns out doc that I just needed brain surgery as my brain was being squeezed into my spinal canal. Had a portion of my skull removed, most of my top vertebrae, I have cow parts on my brain now to cover the dura so I can’t donate blood or anything anymore, oh and I had an AVM that was about to rupture removed off my brain stem. Clearly, a psychiatrist would have been able to take care of all that. I sincerely do not believe this doctor should hold a medical license.

I went to Dr.Baltran because.of muscle cramps and burning in my feet and legs. he ordered blood test and emg test , received call from his office telling me he couldn't find anything other than I had neuropathy with no known cause and to take gabapentin. He never talked to me after first appt.and never offered or explained my problem or suggested morefor my problem.very unhappy how he treated his me, I feel he should have personally sat down with me and discussed my problem other than a phone call from.third party.

I was a patient of Dr. Beltran's for years for "migraine" headaches. Dr. Beltran dismissed me as a patient after I inquired about having an MRI done, per the recommended of my son's geneticist and neurologist at Boston Children's Hospital, after Beltran said that my previous CT was fine although he had no idea what was causing my headaches or why I wasn't responding to medication. I did end up having the MRI ordered thru my pcp after my dismissal; I was diagnosed with Chiari 1 Malformation and I will be having brain surgery next week. The neurosurgeon also read my original CT scan and said that the Chiari is clearly visible and that it was never "normal". Avoid Beltran like the plague.

In my opinion Dr Beltran is a complete moron and should have his license revoked. He put my wife on a medication for migraines and right away she started having severe side effects, she went back several times complaining about these side effects and he kept telling her to stay on the medicine there's nothing to worry about , 2 weeks ago we had to check her in an inpatient psych ward after a week they released her, but she still have hallucinations and severe mood swings if you are smart stay away from this quack
