I have under Dr. Bez's care for over 6 years. Prior to meeting Dr. Bez, I suffered with chronic and debilitating back pain that was the result of many injuries and a genetic condition. After having spinal fusion in 1997 with implants, I was able to enjoy several years of relatively pain free living. In 2005 I had an opportunity to meet with a world leading physician at U of M who specialized in spinal treatment. At his recommendation I sought out an anesthesiologist who specialized in back pain treatment. After interviewing several practitioners in the Lansing area, I chose Dr. Bez because he listened intently, took the time to syudy my case history before my appointment, asked about what I was looking for in both the short and long term and worked with me to put a treatment plan in place to help manage my pain. We embarked on a plan using injections and facet blocs which enabled me to eliminate all narcotic pain medicines for up to 4 to 5 months at which time I used the pain… medication only long enough to habe the next injections. Being pain free for months on end was like having my life back. I could do so many more things (within reasonable limits) again...golf, garden, exercise, etc. As time passed and injections became more frequent, Dr. Bez continued to educate me on the newest technologies and treatments that were available to help me manage and live relatively pain free. While I know I will never be free from the back pain that is the result of many serious back issues, I have every confidence that I may live my life never concerning myself with an invasive surgery that would take months to heal from. I would recommend Dr. Bez to anyone who is looking for a true partnership in pain management with a consumate professional.
