Dr. Joel Todd Brodbeck, DO

I really liked Dr. Broadbeck when we started taking my newborn there. First problem I had was the staff was not courteous to me and I stood at the counter to check in for at least 5 min each time. This seems like an eternity when you are trying to hold your baby, get your insurance card out and ready, and wrangle a diaper bag all at the same time. There are several doctors in this practice and their receptionists would be checking in patients while I wastill waiting at the one for Dr. Broadbeck. I have seen a receptionist check in a patient for another docter but somehow they always miss us. When I did get someone to check us in they seemseemed annoyed and super rushed . I just feel like nothing more than an insurance card to them making their life difficult. They called to reschedule an appointment and then when I went at the new time I was told I didn't have an appointment. They did not apologize or offer to see me anyway except to say that MAYBE they could fit me in in the… afternoon when I was there at 9 am. They also told me that they would call to remind me of my appointment so if I didn't get a call then there was no appointment. So later I made an appointment for my baby's second 1\2 of the flu shot. I wrote it somewhere but lost it or forgot where with my mom brain. I remember them telling me that they would call the day before so I waited for the call. Several days later I decided to call them to see when it was.I was put on hold for about 5 or so minutes which was always typical since day one at this offidefinitely indeed missed my baby's appointment and was told that they don't call for "those appointments". I have also gotten a call for an appointment reminder with a different time the what I had written down. I had to call and be on hold again to make sure of what time which was what I had written down not what they left in the message. If there was just one or 2 of these things it definitely would not be a big deal but all of them together just makes me want to find another doctor. Dr. Broadbeck was always very courteous and good with my baby. Only once or twice seemed a little rushed but hey, he does have a lot of patients to see! He almost always spent a lot of time with us and always answered our questions. When there is a wait he always apologizes for making us wait. I would probably still be going to this doctor if not for everything else that has gone on.

As new parents, we tend to have a lot of questions and/or concerns. Dr. Brodbeck always takes the time to fully explain and put us at ease.
