Dr. Joel Evans, MD

This is where the future of medicine should be heading. Understanding your patient through their history by spending the time, and being able to use our history along with laboratory studies to improve our health, not just give another medication was so rewarding, and left us with hope for a healthier future. My daughter and I are really, really happy with Dr. Evans.

Dr. Evans is an excellent MD. His knowledge of Functional Medicine helped me to nip arthritis rather than succumb to its eventual disabilities. I feel a thousand times better. Yes, there is a lot of testing, but knowing specifically what was causing my issues was the very tactic that was needed. His office staff is terrific. I was in and out in the time allotted. Monique Class - the FNP who works w/ Dr. Evans - also top notch. I have sent several friends to this practice. All are satisfied and living a healthy and energized life!

i would not recommend this doctor to anyone. i felt as if he was making promises "too good to be true". the lab tests he recommended required that i falsify my personal information on the forms. when i inquired why-i was told it was just the way that lab was, because i lived in New York state. i asked if the doctor could write a prescription for a test so i could use another lab. i was told that was the only lab he used. i learned that the reason why i needed to provide an address outside the state of NY was because it was an illegal test in NY. i did do one test that was legal but. i have been trying for 5 days to get the written results. i do not intend on returning to this doctor. their answer is "no problem" or "no worries" when i request the lab test results but, so far it seems like otherwise.

I have not been to see him nor could I, living in CA. I heard him on a webinar and was so pleased to know that MD's are coming around. Decades ago I tried to get my OB-GYN to look at some of these concepts and I was dismissed abusively. If all docs in the US could learn what Joel has learned, it would be a different world. I may not live to see it, but hopefully our children will benefit. Thank you Dr. Evans for speaking out and please please do it with your colleagues!!

Appointments are 15 minutes in length. Recommended supplements are sold at his office. Received test results, never reviewed prescribed medications and supplements I was already taking before selling me his version. Prescribed supplements, asked if they helped, when told not really, he did not attempt a new solution. Left the problem "on the floor". I found Dr. Evans through a referral from a therapist I trusted, who had referred me to my internist. I expected the best and sadly received the worst. Supplements (and amounts to be taken) sent me running to my internist. Stopped taking everything Dr. Evans sold me. I will not go back. This sadly feels more like a business, to fill as many 15 minute appointment slots and sell as many supplements as possible.

Did not spend enough time discussing my concerns. Was too quick to push drastic tests on me without properly explaining ramifications of their results. Terrible slap dash method of examining a patient. Will not return.

I've been with Dr. Evans for over 20 years. I see him once, sometimes twice a year. It feel like his practice has morphed more into a business. His staff is very nice, he is very nice but he is clearly trying to see as many as he can in a day. Sad to see, after all these years and all his exposure to the holistic side - it would nice to see him be less concerned with his bank account. I guess we've got to pay for his ongoing jaunts to India?

I have been a patient of Dr. Evans for 20 years now. (i can't believe it's been that long). He is caring, attentive and professional. I live in New York and travel over an hour just to see him. He's worth the commute!

Will listen and not patronize.Sees patient as a whole person.I went through 3 ob/gyn practices in a year before going out of my area to Dr Evans ... have been there 10 yrs now.

The first time I visited this office I felt uncomfortable...the ENTIRE staff was friendly, warm, and welcoming! Dr. Evans is a holistic Gyn. Although I lacked the confidence in his diagnosis because he was very casual and quick about it, it was accurate. His bedside manner are second to none, he's friendly and a good listener. He always provides me with options regarding treatment. I travel far to visit him and find his services to be worth it.
