Dr. Joel Fausto K Estrada

I've gone to Dr. E. for four years and during that time he's misdiagnosed whatever I've come in for, four or five times. He doesn't ask questions or suggest maybe it could be this or that, he just jumps in with something that doesn't seem reasonable given the information offered, and sends you to the lab for blood work or refers you to a specialist. I've had so many blood draws I should be donating! Then, after all of that, there's absolutely no follow-up. I'm currently looking for another doctor.

Called for appointment,I have just gotten back from Mexico. I have been vary ill, told there were no appointment till Wed.! Today is a Monday and I have not eat or been able to since Friday! (been in the bathroom not able to keep any thing in me) Her manner at the appointment desk ,there nothing till Wed. and that it! I have been going to Dr. Estrada for over 10 years, Will I go back NO.

Dr Estrada is the most caring doctor I have seen in the last 40 years. He is polite, knowledgeable, a good listener and always has the best advice regarding my personal health care and well being.

I worked with Dr. Estrada for a month, doing my rotation during a 3rd year of medical school, and came across the site occasionally. After reading one of the negative reviews, which, in my opinion, is rather mistaken, I thought I should share my experience with the patients. I have worked with many doctors during my rotation and must say that Dr. Estrada is the most thoughtful and caring physician. Unfortunately, these days many patients confuse good customer service with good bedside manners. Dr. Estrada's bedside manners are in good Hippocratic traditions, he is quite and kind with his patients, and is not trying to use unnecessary cheerfulness that is more appropriate in a restaurant business rather than in medical care. He always takes time to review the notes of all physicians involved in a patient's care before each appointment. In addition to his professionalism, he is a very knowledgeable physician, who treats a cause not a symptom, which is expected from any physician, but is… not necessarily true of any physician. I have learned a lot from Dr. Estrada and only hope to live up to his example, and I would trust him to take care of any of my family members or myself.

Excellent ratings are often suspect but in this case they are accurate and well deserved. The negative vital comments given here must be for another Dr Estrada. As for his nurse, certainly not Rene, definately not any of the front office staff. For over two years Dr. E and his staff have been extraordinary with my sister's care, follow-up and most impressive, monitoring and coordinating her many appointments/care. They have gone out of their way to ensure I am kept in the loop throughout all the many appointments. Unlike many doctors that just treat the symptom de jour, Dr Estrada has a well managed and coordinated plan for her. He reviews the notes from all the other providers with her and I and discusses these in relation to the overall goal, her test results and likely as well as needed outcomes.Im sure there are a lot of folks that think Doctors are miracle workers and want someone else to deal with that which they cannot, thus a bit bitter when things are not exactly their… way. Yet, I have found nothing in the two derogratory comments to be true in my sisters care. More astounding to me is the preception I had that a Medicare/Medicaid patient would get second rate care, not the case I have found at Dr Estrada's office.

39 year old "know it all". Not interested in listening to patient symptoms - very "cold" personality! 3 out of 4 visits - sat in waiting area for 1 hour to 1 hour 45 minutes with no interaction from nurse. Nurse as "cold" as Estrada. Estrada is "judgmental" and impolite - has the attitude that he is "superior". Seems not to have time to correctly diagnose - lack of communication skills and empathy go hand in hand with lack of professionalism and practical experience. NOT a good practitioner.
